Does that seem like a sound economic plan? Clearly his focus is not on our economy, but on carbon taxation and net zero. Mark Carney confirms that industrial carbon tax isn't going anywhere and that it will be a major strategy of his gov: "In the future we will strengthen tax credits to spur more investment in clean energy...we will be keeping the industrial carbon tax and we need to improve operations of these markets...there will be a competitiveness strategy and policy in carbon taxation at the same time a major strategy." Instead of paying $20 per carbon credit, companies will now be forced to pay $110. On top of that taxpayers will be paying for a carbon capture scheme, which no one can explain how it will make the weather better. On top of that companies pay an industrial carbon tax. On top of that taxpayers will be paying a fuel surcharge tax. Danielle Smith delivered a carbon market for her voters. To my knowledge no one wanted her to do it. What did she get in return?

No projects will be built in Canada until we increase red tape and taxes on our own industries and line up the pockets of First Nations 🤦🏼 Mark Carney: "For a pipeline to be built the industrial carbon tax has to be on this path to increase in Alberta. There has to the Pathways Project. There has to be methane... What this government has been absolutely clear is that it is full Indigenous participation in these major projects...but also ownership that we will help fund." The Liberals have created the stupidest conditions out there for our economy and how this is viewed as rational or acceptable is beyond me. Also, "WE" should not be funding a selected group of people no ownership of major projects. It's either ownership for all of Canada or nothing. Producers are forced to comply with new government regulations that kick in, and if they can't, they must use carbon credits that they have to purchase. All of these things are costs paid by the producer, which are ultimately passed downstream to the consumer. This is Canada's new carbon tax that we will be paying at the pump.
