MORE THAN HALF OF NEW YORK'S 3RD–5TH GRADERS FAILED READING THIS YEAR! Blue New York is raising some dumb kids. The New York Post reported, "More than half of 3rd- to 5th-grade students in the Empire State failed their reading proficiency state exams this year, according to shocking new data." Good Lord. According to the New York Post, "Fifth graders saw the largest drop of any grade level, with those students' reading proficiency declining by an incredible 14 points." New York City spends north of $40,000 per student every year to produce that report card. Stephen Miller posted, "Nearly 40% of children in New York State are foreign-born or the children of migrants. Of that group, about 85% are migrants from the third world. No wonder.

🚨 NYC LITERACY CRISIS Nearly half of New York City public school students cannot read at grade level. • 3rd grade reading: only 44% proficient • 5th grade reading: dropped from 59% to 46% in one year Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s response? He’s sticking with the same approach that produced these results. Kids can’t read… and the socialist mayor is taking a victory lap.

Our education system is failing miserably Black American is asked to read this simple sentence The only words she can read is the word ‘funding’ and a couple more but can’t read or even pronounce most of the other words Here are the English proficiency score percentages according to national data Elementary School - White students: ~35–40% proficient - Black students: ~15–20% proficient Middle School - White students: ~30–35% proficient - Black students: ~12–18% proficient High School - White students: ~35–40% proficient - Black students: ~15–20% proficient Now obviously there is a gap here where white students are twice as likely to be proficient at reading compared to black students but that’s not the point The point is nobody passes on average. Even at 40% that’s less than half our kids finishing high school proficient at English This is horrible

True or False 1. 81.7% of students attending CPS are not proficient in math? 2. Only 31% of students attending CPS are proficient in reading? 3. CPS spends 97% more in 2025 than they did in 2012 despite students proficiencies declining?

Chicago has a public school that's 97% empty. Not a single child is proficient in reading. They spend more than $90,000 per student per year. The government school system has become more of a jobs program for adults than an education initiative for kids.

American is seeing young students unable to answer basic questions and she’s horrified “The kids aren't learning how to learn anymore — We are now witnessing the first generation to grow up with the skill of thinking as optional” “internet. I have never seen more comments asking me basic common sense questions — They don't have to learn math. They could just take a picture of the math problem and have it solved. They don't have to learn how to write essays. They could just have AI write the essay for them. They don't have to learn how to read or write, let alone write cursive. I am so afraid” “We might literally see the end of humanity” She’s right American kids are failing miserably in schools - 40% of 4th graders now score below the most basic reading level - 33% of 8th graders score below basic in reading. This is the worst in history - Only 28% of 8th graders are proficient in math

5th graders in Encinitas Union SD were tasked with reading ‘My Shadow is Pink’ to kindergartners as part of an exercise. The book is about a toddler who crossdresses and explores his gender identity. Parents were reportedly not notified. Homeschool your kids.

Every day, more schools are becoming fully aligned with the Science of Reading. As more of our children become proficient in the essential life skill of reading, they will be more prepared to thrive in the classroom, in the workforce, and in life.
