Obsession (2026) Cinematic Parallels

Glad hereditary was included. Final act w/ all the yelling screamed Ari Aster

No way bro took inspiration from his favourite movies and recombined them in an original way to make a good movie!

There are thousands of movies within the same genre. Over time, it's inevitable that some scenes, shots, or ideas will resemble each other, even if the similarity is completely unintentional. Common storytelling techniques often lead to overlaps.

There are absolutely no definitive parallels. You can use any crash out in any movie. Any cuddling scene in any movie. Be more prevalent and stop pulling for relevance ugh it’s exhausting

I love this movie more and more every day!!!

@gilbertsclips can we watch some of these in the theater today

This can be done with any movie.

Ruby Sparks is entirely a parallel film in concept. Just not horror. Both amazing and both should be seen by everybody.
