This entire convo also gives more explaination to why Guy is a corporate hero (aside what Gunn already told us during Superman). GL's need a better reputation, so a corporate/government sanctioned hero was really the only option given the oversight it gave vs the Guardians

I was surprised during this revelation that guys ring is a whole new ring and that hal's was locked up. The amount of questions answered really helps put everything in perspective what happened between 2016 and 2026
