still thinking about the fact that Hal was wearing the ring and could easily make a construct to throw John off him but still choose to protect both of them with the rest of power the ring had #lanterns

Like he said earlier, he's not evil and doesn't want John dead. He just didn't want to be replaced.

It definitely wasn't just about keeping the ring. It was Hal trying to keep his identity, wanting to show John all the years he endured as a Lantern by standing back up and facing him without the power. 💔

He did like John. But it’s also fighting to survive.

also John willing to take the risk that Hal didn’t want him dead in the car

🤔 Still remembering that Hal left John in a burning car to die

Cause he a real nigga & said he wouldn’t kill or sacrifice him that sinestro suggested. There is too much potential & strength in John regardless of the ring mishap From the crooked guardian dealing the hand.

Something else that’s telling is the look on his face as he’s running through Rushville. Even after all this time he still looks concerned for people. He’s jaded but that heroic part of himself is still in there somewhere.

The ring was very low on energy. Hal is known for choosing when to use the ring carefully. Hal’s ego made him think he doesn’t need the ring to fight John.

To me, this episode showed how both of them have always been worthy of the ring and it's the Guardians we should see as sketchy.

Aka bad writing

Favorite moment of the episode, the way I went from needing to see John beat tf out of Hal to feeling really bad for Hal was masterful.

the ring was low thts all he can do

Yeah they have down a wonderful job of showing hal is a hero still but he is scared to be replaced and he never wanted to be scared. But he also won't become the villian. Can't wait to see if he has an after life as a character.

THATS WHY HE'S THE GOAT THE GOAT PLEASE DON'T BE DEAD 🙏

They should call this show Bubbles

For me that showed me who the hero was and who wasn't, regardless of how they trying to write the show

He almost killed him earlier that episode. Doing the bare minimum after failing to do the bare minimum doesn’t make you an honorable man

But yet idiots thought the show was saying Hal was an evil person…

hero stuff

The ring was on low power that's why he went back to the hotel to recharge the ring

That’s why he the GOAT

He did like John and he is still a hero.

but you never thought about the fact that Hal had the ring when he got punched and he could've literally pushed John away enough distance (like a few meters) or held him for long enough (like 10 seconds) so he could recharge the damn ring? And none of this would've happened?

That's fucking Hal Jordan 🗿🗿🗿

Worst part in the episode was when he had a charged ring and let the water tower hit the ground at full momentum . Hes not doing green lantern things and it’s making me sad

After all that he just left the ring wtf

I could be thinking too into it.. but I think Hal understood he became the bait for Zoe during their scrimmage.. calling back to the bar “fight”.

He ran the car into a pole and left him stuck there. He knew he deserved that ass whooping.

Could’ve done both

Since when is the green lantern ring this weak

Because Hal is a hero, no matter how much John has been brainwashed to see him as an obstacle.
