The Port of Port Townsend, one of Washington's major shipping hubs and a key port of entry for the Puget Sound, has announced it's quitting social media. In a statement issued last Thursday, the port announced that it will no longer maintain active Facebook or Instagram pages, citing studies that report the harmful effects of social media on human connection.
