Might be worth looking into using GrapheneOS as a base? Very secure, open-source (of course), and will have support for both Pixels and (soon) Motorola devices

Most important has to be the UX. Completely different use cases, interaction scenarios, etc. Starting from fundamentals, good navigation, clarity and accessibility, and evolve into what features make sense and how is Omarchy Android different from the rest

I always thought it would be cool to have a SOM like ring menu on a long-tap. I imagine one could swipe up/down for additional "menus" if there are too many options. Would love to see that vision become a reality!

This right here is exactly what I felt when I tried switching my main phone from iPhone to Android last year. The apps on Android are so bad they don’t even feel like they’re made for your phone. Plus many apps on Android simply lack a lot of features compared to iOS. For example, on WhatsApp on iOS, I can quickly swipe left on a message in a group chat to see which members have received and/or read my message. On Android, it takes a long press and 2 additional taps to access the same info. This was such a deal breaker for me who’s in a lot of group chats.

I don’t personally agree with some aspects of this video based on my own experience, but I thought it was useful to reflect on. I’ve found deep content in becoming a family man that nothing else has compared to. While I do strive to provide more for my family and remain present and nurturing, it is not out of a desire to seek freedom or anything else of that nature. Service to others beats service to self in how it feels 100% of the time, but it is also important that you do not pour from an empty cup. A balance must be struck. Something my mentor told me awhile back has stuck with me since. Depressed = Deep Rest. I definitely tried to maintain that permanent state of contentment with drugs in the past, it does not work. I absolutely agree with that. The body will always find homeostasis.

There is something special from getting words on a page using my voice and editing it using a pen and paper-feel. sound on! ps: no harry potter reference in this one, sorry! the reason that I am exploring all these elements in eink is that I am convinced that eink+ai can lead to a much much better type of human computer interaction.
