On FSD 14.3.7 it delayed a necessary lane change for a right turn until the final 200 ft, even though space was available much earlier. The late lane change behavior remains an ongoing issue. Earlier positioning would make the drives feel more natural and confident Tesla AI

Just had one of the worst drives I've ever had in 5 years with FSD in the rain ... for some reason even though it limits you to Standard it would not stop getting into the left lane (and was capped at speed limit). And the left lane was flooded in spots... Tesla AI - the left lane obsession needs to end. At this point it's bizarre. Especially in these conditions. I manually had to move the car back to the right 10 times in 5 minutes. And overall ... I'm not going to lie I could not see anything. My heart rate was probably at 150 bpm. So I want to be an FSD but I don't want to be 3 ft from a barrier hydroplaning.. When the speed is limited in these conditions and it won't go the speed limit anyway - FSD NEEDS to stay out of the left lane!!!

Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.

Since v14, FSD has this weird obsession with moving from the inner lane to the outer lane during a left turn. For me, it happens on every two-lane left turn. And it does it in a very jerky, dangerous way — even if it means cutting in front of another car, FSD will still insist on doing it. Is this because FSD is more afraid of hitting the curb at the corner than of getting rear-ended by someone else? This really feels like a serious bug to me. I’m not sure whether it’s because the model is overfitted to avoid curbs during turns, or because it was trained to always end up in the rightmost lane after a left turn. I honestly don’t know, but I really hope this gets fixed soon.

I really hope Tesla AI will fix this overreaction issue in future FSD updates 🙏🏼 On a divided highway with a concrete barrier, my Tesla suddenly veered right toward the shoulder and abruptly slowed down just because an emergency 🚨 vehicle was approaching from the opposite direction. There was zero risk of interaction. This unnecessary maneuver is actually more reckless than simply staying in lane and maintaining speed. I had to press the accelerator to prevent cars from rear-ending my Tesla.

FSD’s anticipation is honestly scary good. When you first watch it, the Prius just looks like it’s making a normal lane change from two lanes over. But FSD was already preparing for something more. Only after you play it back with telemetry do you realize it starts slowing down before the intent is obvious. The Prius was about to cut all the way into our lane.

FSD 14.2.2.5 on Mad Max gets pulled over by a State Trooper for speeding 🚔🚨 A few interesting observations: When passing the State Trooper, FSD saw the vehicle and moved over into the left lane to yield more space (albeit without slowing down). When the trooper turned his lights on, FSD did initiate a turn signal as if it was going to pull off onto the shoulder. Unfortunately, I disengaged at this point and didn’t get to see if FSD would’ve actually stopped. Fortunately, only a warning was issued for speeding (allegedly). 🎟️

This morning on Tesla FSD, cruising at 71 MPH, my rear camera shows a dark SUV flying up behind me. What does the car do? It doesn’t ego-trip. It doesn’t camp. It reads the situation. Almost got hit this morning. Left turn lane at a light. Arrow goes green, FSD rolls into the turn, sun right in the windshield. Then for whatever reason this lady swings a U-turn at the last second, right across my lane. My Cybertruck goes from 15 mph to 1 mph in a little over a second. I never touched the brake, screen still says Self-Driving. I hadn't even finished processing what I was looking at, and FSD had already slammed the brakes. This is why FSD is so important... People get tired, look at their phone, panic, or just make mistakes. Tesla's AI on the other hand is always watching every camera angle footage, every second. Humans are bad drivers. FSD saves lives. This technology is priceless.

FSD took me into the HOV lane yet again today despite me being the only passenger in the car. This time when I yanked it back into non-HOV lane and tried to engage FSD again, it blinked red asking me to take over immediately and displayed a message on screen saying FSD aborted due to system error. Requesting to please prioritize improvements in this scenario Tesla AI Yun-Ta Tsai. This is a safety issue. At this intersection it happens every time. FSD waits until the absolute last second to merge away from the ending lane leaving almost zero room to safely merge when there was visibly more room to start merging sooner. See side repeater view.

You may not think you want this but you want "Smart View". In a normal lane change, one repeater view is fine. But mid yield, some merges and cross traffic turns like Chuck Cook's UPL viewing the repeater on the opposite side of the turn signal is useful. Tesla AI

Gotta say, for how terrible Tesla nav is, FSD is the master of the yeet. In this clip, we’re going straight, but FSD decided to camp in the obvious left turn lane to the far left until the very last second. I’m not in a rush so decided to just let it rip. FSD charismatically glides across 2 lanes to place itself with hardly any distance to do so. Like it was planning it the entire time 😂
