Just say out loud that you are defending Story to the death. Him playing ever shows a complete lack of urgency. I haven’t heard you get on him once all year and instead defended his average at best defense.

why are players regressing? Why is Bello/Houck/etc worse increase need for high leverage relief early? How do we have 2 gold glovers and terrible defense? Your point is well received. the bigger picture is this team is getting worse all around. And there’s no urgency to fix that.

Does your dog like to fly?

@redsoxstats RA in AAA, no position change for Devers out of fear of speaking to him, Giolito/Hendriks still on roster, Story still a lineup regular, Masa banished while capable of hitting, & no hitting/pitching/IF coaching change despite underperformance in all. They are selectively urgent.

Make yourself useful and run those boys through some fielding drills. They need practice.

Yup but eventually they need to play Marcelo against lefties. They "may" be in thr hunt today but you dont sit your young developing guys from matchups.

@redsoxstats Also, Cora has always say his young LHH against LHP. Devers didn’t see LHP consistently until 2019, Abreu barely saw lefties last year, Casas in his rookie year too. I don’t understand why some fans have memory holed that

Agree. When the team is slipping, it isn’t the time to experiment. That’s what the September call ups are for. By then, the season is well defined for the team

So how long does he sit vs lefties. Hes the shortstop of the future, hes got to learn. I get urgency but come on. Either build a less lefty heavy lineup or adjust. If 2 years go by and hes never seen a lefty hes way behind

Well said. My concern is Bailey. His comment in the Netflix documentary about the fb getting hit hard is disappointing. A lot of tinkering with grips and spins b/n starts. Command the fb and quit pitching with fear. Meanwhile, the Sox hitters routinely get beat with fastballs.
