One common concern I hear about lowering Chicago’s speed limit is that it will lead to more traffic. Let’s break down why that’s not the case ⬇️

he did it again

You know what’s not a great way to reduce congestion? Narrowing the roads with bike lanes that are rarely used especially this time of year. Encouraging biking in a city where every dedicated cyclist I know has been hit by a car shouldn’t be surprising for an Alderman also in favor of inviting a bunch of undocumented Central and South Americans (and those conveniently passing through those regions from elsewhere) who lie about asylum based to live in this cold and crime ridden insolvent city that can’t house its existing poor residence or educate its poor native English speaking residents. You live in a woke fantasy world and are a terrible fiduciary of the city, captured by special interests. Also, when speed is the limiting factor each car will spend more time on any given route which does cause them to catch more red lights and does cause increased street density as people come off faster highways and more people funnel in from homes etc all at the same time.

Those Bike lanes cause congestion!!

You, sir, are dumb AF. You better update our resume. The ppl have had it with you amd your commie cohort progressives.

One common concern I hear about when politicians are trying to lower the speed limit is that they might be in bed with the companies who install speed cameras who want tax dollars from those alderman to install cameras.

Joe Biden said the quiet part out loud: they want to lock Trump up and throw away the key.

Hilariously built on the idea police enforce traffic laws in chicago, let alone 1st ward. Wonder if he ever considers addressing things that might impact people’s lives/safety

this is a start, we need more videos that explain the priority changes our city needs over the next few years surrounding transportation… let’s be honest here, looking at the posts below, drivers really do need to hear it

As a civil engineer, let me say this. You have no idea what you are talking about. Reducing the width of lanes with Bike Lanes and Bus Lanes reduces the flow rate. You are a stupid and foolish person.

$20 congestion tax to use Lake Shore Drive and another $20 to enter the loop. Turn the place into a ghost town

Are you the brains behind @ChicagosMayor
