One day, we need to talk about this idea that “someone must already have a skill before they can join certain units to serve God.” What do you mean I have to know a lot about music before I can join the choir? I’m not even asking for a... microphone. I just want the opportunity to learn, grow, and faithfully attend rehearsals. And before anyone says, “Go to music school,” it doesn’t work that way. Should I leave medical school just to study music? I think the most important thing is having the passion and willingness to learn that craft so you can serve the Lord well. I’ve seen people join the media unit with little or no prior knowledge, receive consistent training, and today they’re doing amazingly well and serving effectively. Not every willing servant starts as an expert. Sometimes the ministry should be where the training begins.show more

This is where I have to share my raw feelings about Rivian software currently on R1. The software experience they have created is good. It’s their own, with their software stack that they control. With that said, we have to stop making excuses for longstanding bugs. Like Quinn Nelson had posted about long ago, having to do multiple Resets, logins and out to get core functionality to work is not the experience we should be having. I know Rivian and Wassym do not want this. I also know they are working on R2 stuff as well. As a person who has spent real money on 4 Rivian’s with 3 R2 reservation between me and hubby, we are huge fans. Have helped many become Rivian owners as well. But the long outstanding bugs are starting to boil over. It’s dragging the software reliability down. Apple Music has been in Rivian vehicles for just about 2 years now. We are past the stage of it being “new”. Spatial Audio is a key music feature, and for me, and plenty of others, you have to turn that off sometimes just to get music to play. I shouldn’t have to do that. Plus, you can’t change that feature while the vehicle is in drive. So then you have to pull over and fiddle with it just to get it work and sometimes it doesn’t. Rivian assistant can’t do it either. Among other issues, like HVAC preconditioning, unstable cabin temps, GPS locking issues, profile switching not getting right or switching profile after the driver has gotten in, mobile app live activities not functioning properly, and more. The live activities is important, because we don’t have a notification for charging start stop/complete except for charging complete on DCFC, so on a level 2 charger, I don’t know if there is an issue with charging if the live activities don’t appear. Same for HVAC if it’s not showing up I have to keep opening the app to check to see what the temperature is. If you aren’t going to push me a notification that the cabin is at the temp I selected in favor of the live activities, then the live activities has to work. I could go on, but I really love my Rivian. I love the brand, I love what they want to do. And I think R2 is going to change the market for most things, but I want their focus to be on software and stability. Focus on polish, focus on features that many people want, don’t over complicate those things. Example, valet mode should be here by now that locks down speed acceleration and access to certain parts of the vehicle. Basic Pin to drive, not the multi factors drive one that depends on your phone and vehicle having an internet connection. Speedy, clean, stable software is always a win. I know Wassym Bensaid and plenty of others at Rivian can do this. We have seen it before and seen what they can do. The YouTube app is by far the best app they have added. I haven’t had any issues with it. It’s responsive, and works. Everything needs to work like that across the board. Please guy let me help in anyway I can, I just want the best for you and the community and customers. Let’s focus on that. I know some will see this as a complete complaining post but it’s not. It’s a plead to make the experience better for everyone and making the Rivian software the best software it can be.

Naval Ravikant’s checklist for starting a company “The most important thing is there are no formulas. At the end of the day, you have to do what you love, and you have to do it even though people tell you it’ll never work. But that being said, if there was a formula [for starting a company], I would put it something like this.” Naval started seven companies before AngelList and this is the checklist he recommends running through before starting a startup: 1. Pick a great cofounder. This is most important: “You can do a company on your own, but it’s like you can raise a child on your own, but you probably shouldn’t. You need someone who’s going to be there with you.” This has it’s own checklist. Your cofounder should be: a. Very high intelligence (”hopefully they make you feel dumb, or they’re not smart enough”) b. Very high energy (”They should be extremely hardworking. A founder is someone who never has to be motivated. You should not have to be telling them to do their job.”) c. Very high integrity. (”a smart, hardworking crook who’s going to cheat you is the worst kind of person to be paired up with.”) 2. Pick a very large market. “Notice I don’t talk about the idea. I think ideas are almost irrelevant… The more important thing is that you pick a large space that you’re knowledgeable and passionate about. And then you will figure out what the right thing to do within that space is.” You want to be able to say to investors: “This is a space where there’s a huge market. “when you charles leclerc go to bed, what do you think of?” 🆑: what i love most doing is racing. but i raced since i'm three and a half years old and i spent many of my nights thinking about racing and racing only but i'm also very creative. i think one of the things with me is that i love being creative but at the same time, i get obsessed with things very quickly and with new passions. one week it will be padel and the other week will be music and piano. every week i find a new thing that i'm super curious about, that i want to learn of and that i keep thinking about. and so sometimes it can be not really related to racing and it can be any new passions like padel or music. and sometimes it's racing. it's not necessarily always the same thing. but when a thought is too strong for you to fall asleep, as i said, i value sleeping. and so i want sleeps and then so i found ways in order to try and switch off the brain as much as possible. 🎥: eight sleep

coming from an experienced artist, i think this is the most genuine and meaningful compliment one could ever give to yuta. thank you jaejoong 🙏🏻 love their friendship 🥹 JJ: the reason why is, i think just doing what you’re told to and just going with the flow, its like theres no sense of preparing for the future in that. but when idols start thinking about their future & their music, and when they're at a point where they start to think on how they can grow, i think that is really admirable. for example, a friend named yuta from nct, he's been doing some solo activities in rock music. i heard that he will be on tour this year too. 👤: you really keep up with the junior artists who are doing rock music arent you? JJ: it's nice. it makes me feel really excited & happy, and like i wanna go & watch their perfomance/ concert too!! so when i see things like that, i think these kinds of attempts which is not just about the rock genre, or about the music that will sell well and get many streams, but just the fact that artists are willing to attempt on a challenge, even when they know there might be risks. this kind of mindset alone is something that i'm really thankful for. it makes me think that the work/ things i do, and even for the junior artists who are starting to try out, i just want to say to them that "we did well' and applause them for it 👏🏻 "

I now have a magic thing called Codex. So do you, so does everybody. That means I should be using my computer in a completely different way. I should not be clicking around pasting from one messaging app to another. I should not be scrolling mindlessly through my emails and trying to figure out which one is least painful for me to open and respond when I don't want to be dealing with it. ‘it is.’ was released 10 years ago today. The album to me was meant to talk about what everything is. It just ‘is’. Whether you do it or don’t. So why not do it? “You are a human being, so ‘be’.” Things will continue to change around me as well as within me. All I can do is try to be what I want to be more and more everyday. And continue to send out my communications through music. I’m grateful to everyone that has received and/or will receive the messages in the future.
