People of Nabi Ball!❤️✌🏾 There is progress in this team👏🏾 The patterns need time to develop and for the team to be consistent in them. ■ The left side looked better with Mmodi and Shinga✅️ ■ We needed Duba to attack the box and be available more when these 2 attacked on the left. He dropped to the edge of the box very often. ■ Unlike in the 1st half, there was a better understanding between Shinga and the LW. When Shinga overlapped, Mmodi was willing to occupy the pockets and combine. ▪︎ When Shinga inverted, Mmodi was happy to hug the line and take his man on. This understanding was key in that side coming to life in the 2nd half. ■ What was also impressive was the ability for them to create good combinations and movements with Mdu and Duba on the offense from the left side. ■ Lilepo from the right was getting into good goal scoring positions when the left was creating in the 2nd half, but poor decisions on the ball and slow reactions were a problem. He should compete on the LW with Mmodi. ■ In the 1st half, it was Monyane and Vilakazi on the right, and 2nd half it was Mmodi and Shinga with some of our best moments in attack. Overall, you can see the general attitude of this team changing. They want to play now. They want to stay on the ball and create chances from a position of control, not rely heavily on transitional moments to create chances. We have shown signs that we can control and be patient, but when opportunities to attack comes we are relentless, and we use a lot of speed to enter the final 3rd. We just need to work on the combinations and finishing in the final 3rd. Like I said before, we are a work in progress, and we will get better only if we build on the positives and remove the negatives. Protagonist Tiki-taka is coming!❤️✌🏾

First clip i am showing from yesterday is the first goal. Now, Wednesday were doing ok before the goal. Battling hard, winning second balls and getting up the pitch. The Svante chance, our best one, was on 4 mins. The first goal ended the contest, and whilst Valery is the main culprit for losing the ball, it came from a chance to get the ball forward for us that we lost. When the ball comes out to Fusire on the right, there is great chance for a quick attack as united are 2vs2 in the final third. Svante & Ugbo should both run to the right side and work the channel. But Svante barely moves and Ugbo runs away from the ball. We end up going back, losing it and conceding. SUFC had 10 shots all game. We gave the ball away 6 times out of the 10 shots. They did not have to work for anything after this moment in the game. It is a Sheffield Derby, you have to simply play the occasion and get it forward and build chances. The difference between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday in the last so many derbies is that we play it like it is just another game and employ the same tactics, whereas SUFC play it as a derby match.

COACHES: Here is a GREAT teaching clip of something I see in youth hockey all the time. A player will skate the puck towards one of their teammates and will then pass it to them. It's one of my biggest pet peeves in the game. When you skate the puck towards your teammate, you're effectively bringing defenders towards them too so when you give them the puck you've put them in a difficult spot because now with more defenders near they have less time and space to make a play. This clip is a great example. The CHI defenseman skates the puck toward his partner and then tries to give him a pass. They turn the puck over with two CAR forecheckers now right there and the puck ends up in the back of the net. In youth hockey you see defenseman do this a lot and even more so they'll skate it towards their winger and then give them the puck either on the breakout or in the neutral zone. A better solution would be to move it right away or suck defenders towards you (and away from) your teammate so when you pass to them they'll have more time and space. Phenomenal teaching clip on time and space!!

Considering the moment and how the rest of the game unfolded, this ground ball play by Johns Hopkins' Luke Martin has to be considered one of the best ground ball efforts in NCAA tournament history, right? In sudden-death overtime, making this kind of play with one of the best players in the country (Cornell's Willem Firth) fighting for the ball is next-level awesomeness. Cornell never had possession after this play, and Hopkins would score to move on to the Quarterfinals about a minute later.

The one thing you can't deny about us signing Morgan Rogers is that he supercharges the speed of our attack. This goes in line with the signings of Gyökeres, Madueke, and Eze. Directness. A fantastic ball carrier in open space, a direct passer, and devastating ballstriker. Despite my concerns over the deal and fit, the one thing I'm most happy about is Rogers' versatility. Prepare to see him play a lot of positions, from AM to LW to SS to CF.

Tim David was declared not out because the wicketkeeper accidentally touched the stumps with his gloves before the ball hit them.
