I think the main advantage of having me in a drop is to allow my teammates to stay home and take away the catch and shoot 3s, which is one of the best shots in basketball, and for me take away the rim, which is the highest percentage shot in basketball... If you tuned in for the Framer design pages event, you may have seen these visuals during the countdown lead-in. We wanted the concept to tie into the nature of the new features without giving them away entirely. Since design pages is all about iteration and exploration, we had the idea to use pages or layers as a starting point. Each shot is fairly simple. A cloned slice of part of the Framer logo. With dramatic lighting and ramped motion between the shots. Choosing different camera angles and changing the lighting for each shot gave us 8 shots total to switch between. 5k wallpapers of each shot in the replies 💙

Everything about this scene is crazy. What kind of interrogation room is this? The lighting is insane. The fact that there are half a dozen cops here. There are countless different camera setups and endless camera push-ins. These types of scenes can easily look like a run-of-the-mill episode in Law and Order, but in the hands of a capable director, it’s something else entirely. Paul Verhoeven is an incredible director.

This is how Bergman filmed this impossible walk. In Hour of the Wolf, the sequence gives the impression of an impossible movement, which is walking on the floor to the wall to the ceiling, as the camera shifts its orientation between distinct shots. The camera set up is re-established each time the movie shifts to a reaction shot of Max von Sydog. When the action comes back, the frame has been rotated (or reoriented) so the same type of walking will be interpreted as having changed the gravity. The effect isn’t a continuous transformation in one shot, but a carefully edited sequence of multiple setups stitched together, where changes in camera angle between cuts create the illusion of a collapsing, unstable space. #filmtwt
