Learn to play defense, it’s really simple. You only need two defensive roles: one covering high, and one covering low and the pass. If your opponents are capable of going into the air, then covering the backboard should be your main priority. A good rule of thumb is that if you are near post in defense, you cover the backboard, and your teammate at far post covers low and the pass. Here is a player who keeps getting scored on because they don't understand near-post and far-post roles.

New paper from Apple - Sharp Monocular View Synthesis in Less than a Second Mescheder et al. @ Apple just released a very impressive paper (congrats! 🎉🥳). You give it an image and it generates a really great looking 3d Gaussian representation. Uses depth pro. It's really good. The model is about 3GB, and takes ~5-10s on my M1 Max per image. Single feedforward pass network. The video is using "Metal Splatter" to view the .ply from ml-sharp on Apple Vision Pro. Some really wow moments today trying it on different scenes.

One of my favourite lines is 'kill my flesh not my spirit' because it reminds me that you can have all your material possessions, your house, your reputation, your family even your health taken from you. Here is what actually works. Stop trying to be perfect and start adding in the good things. More meat. More eggs. More real food. That is it. Something really cool happens when you do that. The more good things you add in, the less room there is for the things you are trying to crowd out. You are not white knuckling it. You are not depriving yourself. You are just filling your plate with better and better things until there is no space left for the rest. Progress is not just good enough. Progress IS the goal. You do not have to be perfect to change your life. You just have to start. 👑
