One thing we are watching now is potential ERC (eyewall replacement cycle) beginning. Pressure / wind may have temporarily peaked. Some of the hurricane models have suggested multiple eyewall replacement cycles through Tuesday. For tonight, it is possible this eyewall replacement is quick then we see another dip even... stronger overnight with lower pressure and even higher winds. These eyewall replacement cycles will have impacts on how the storm comes into FL Wednesday night. Eventually these should grow the eye and core with time. If the cycles are finished before it hits the wind shear, that could make it a little more resilient to the wind shear. A smaller eye and core probably gets bothered more by the dry air intrusion/wind shear that should be meeting up with #Milton late Wednesday off the Tampa coast. So, these cycles are important in the eventual core structure as it nears the coast late WED.show more

The eye of Fung-wong (UwanPH) is really starting to melt through the icy shell of her CDO now. New, towering thunderstorms are rising up within the inner eyewall as well. On microwave imagery, the Typhoon’s cumbersome core structure is still yet to fully solidify. What we could see in the coming hours, especially after the Pacific sun evanesces below the horizon, is for this new burst of core thunderstorms to freeze the eyewall into a more complete and circular ring around the eye. That would likely jumpstart a true phase of rapid intensification right as Fung-wong enters her final approach to Luzon in the Philippines.

No, your eyes are not deceiving you! Next week's cold blast is going to be “near” historic in #Florida for early November. The models are very aggressive and if they are right we may tie or break records set ~100 years ago. These are wind chills for Tuesday morning BUT it is not out of the question that North FL will see actual low temps near freezing next Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Fire up the fireplaces! You don't have one? You have a week to get it :)

This Winter Storm will be NOTHING like last week’s storm❌ 🥶 Portions of the Carolinas will turn into SIBERIA on Saturday, as Hurricane Force Wind gusts and close to a FOOT of Snow fall at the same time. 🌀 Our Storm is what’s called a BOMB CYCLONE, meaning it is a rapidly strengthening Low Pressure System. 💨 Instead of a calm, steady Snow, conditions will be ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL inside the core of the storm as Blizzard like Snow and Wind WHIP around. 🌡️ On top of that, Temperatures will be Frigid, with Wind Chills close to 0. I’ll have another update later tonight, but right now this is looking like a BIG ONE for our Carolina brotheren. More to come my brotheren. 👊❄️

Powering our very unusual pattern - with early season Gulf cold fronts and strong wind shear - is an extremely amplified jet stream for September. It has thrown the whole Northern Hemisphere weather off-kilter. That means cool-dry weather this weekend for North-Central Florida about a month early! It also means hurricane killing wind shear across the Atlantic Basin! Here's the science: Warm air is being forced all the way up to the Arctic circle by an elongated jet stream. That will cause an "Omega block" to form this weekend over Central Canada - you can see the Greek Omega shape with cold air on either side. These "blocking" patterns are very tough to dislodge. Because what goes up, must come down, cool air is being forced south along the Eastern Sea Board bringing Faux Fall to Florida. Faux or not, we will take it! WFLA NEWS

BC, here’s the next update on the unusual bomb cyclone situation, on Nov 19th. (Scroll for wind forecast) The low pressure system - which is currently roughly 3,200 km SSW of Vancouver island - will race southeast over the pacific during the next 36 hours, while growing rapidly. But the weather system truly becomes problematic as it turns northeast Tuesday morning, where it will completely devour the low in the gulf of Alaska. The storm will explode in intensity, and as pressures plummet near the centre of the storm, winds will explode to numbers more typically seen in tropical cyclones. At this point the storm will be a major bomb cyclone, and will obtain peak intensity by late afternoon or early evening, roughly 400 km west of Vancouver Island. Peak intensify: • Max wind gusts: 185km/h • Min pressure: 944mb Yet the low casts uncertainty over parts of the BC south coast. Northern and western Vancouver island are likely to be impacted with very high southeasterly winds, but southern and eastern sections lay in a zone filled with possibilities. Despite that, I have gathered together the latest data, to create this forecast ⬇️ • Western Vancouver Island: Peak wind gusts 80 to 110km/h, except up to 140km/h near Brooks peninsula provincial park. Timeframe: Tuesday afternoon, through Wednesday. • Northern Vancouver Island: Peak wind gusts of 90 to 120km/h. Timeframe: Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday night. • Eastern Vancouver Island: Peak gusts of 70 to 100km/h. Timeframe: Tuesday evening, again gusting up to 90km/h near Comox on Wednesday. • Southern Vancouver Island: Peak gusts of 70 to 100km/h Tuesday evening, highest winds over western sections. The RED and the PINK on these maps are what ALL OF US in Central Florida need to prepare for as Hurricane Milton moves toward us. That red section on the top map is where the National Hurricane Center says the risk of destructive hurricane force winds (74+ mph) will be. The pink on the bottom map shows the areas that will see "significant risk of life-threatening flash and urban flooding" from Wednesday into Thursday. Hurricane Milton is a powerful, dangerous storm. Yesterday while mowing the assholes were in the sky, but the trails were different this time… they had a little squiggles. Picture to the right, I just took It. They’re out there spraying as I type… …because it’s gonna rain this evening and we’re gonna have horrific winds. Straight line winds… Betty what are those? Straight-line wind refers to a powerful, fast-moving surface wind that lacks a rotational pattern and can cause widespread damage, often resulting from thunderstorms. These winds can reach speeds of over 100 mph and are typically associated with downbursts. Then followed by a freeze again… Who can tell Betty what will happen to all the fruit trees and bloom right now? The freeze is expected to occur in parts of the Midwest and East Coast of the United States early next week, specifically from March 19 to March 21, 2026. During this timeframe, temperatures are predicted to drop significantly, with highs falling into the 30s and 40s degrees Fahrenheit, following a period of unusually mild temperatures. How is it that these weather people can predict the wind starting in a hour… Because it’s controlled 🙄 Protect & Prepare 💖🫵🏻

After her first eyewall replacement attempt resulted in a merger that pushed her to a 165 MPH, 913 mbar peak, Super Typhoon Bavi is finally in the throes of a true EWRC. The thick and persistent nature of her inner core is still protecting a stellar Stadium Effect in the eye, but her infrared satellite signature shows a textbook EWRC structure developing, with a pronounced moat thawing out between the colder, dueling eyewalls. Confidence for a direct or near-direct landfall over the tiny island of Rota continues to increase today; however, Guam should keep a very close eye out for any consistent southward jogs in Bavi’s motion. Even a small deviation could expose the 165,000 residents there to high-end Category 4 or 5 winds.

A whole train of big #solarstorms are on their way, along with some smaller storms hitting now, and some fast solar wind! It is an #aurora photographers dream starting now and lasting at least through the weekend. Right now, the biggest of the storms should hit late Thursday or early Friday morning and is well-represented in NOAA's prediction model. You can also get a 3D view of the coming solar storm in my earlier post. G3 to G4 storm levels are possible by Friday.

Our Storm is entering BOMB GENESIS MODE and is now rapidly strengthening. 💨 Conditions about to head downhill in a HURRY as Winds begin to CRANK close to Hurricane Force this evening , especially near the Carolina coastline. ⏬ Over the next 24 hours, this Storm is expected to drop 35 millibars in pressure, rivaling the rate of intensification seen in some of the MOST EXTREME Hurricanes in recent years. 🌀 At peak intensity, pressure could fall as low as 967 mb, territory normally reserved for a Category 3 Hurricane. 🌬️ That kind of pressure drop will drive WIND GUSTS up to 70 mph on land, particularly along the Carolina coast. This is near HURRICANE FORCE. 🌊Over the open water of the Atlantic, Winds could get as high as 100mph during the height of the Storm. A HIGH IMPACT Winter Storm could develop late this upcoming week, with the potential to bring Heavy Snow and Ice to parts of the country. 🌨️ The heaviest Snow will likely fall on the north side of this storm Friday - Sunday, wherever it ultimately tracks. As we move through the week, I would not be surprised to see Winter Storm Watches and Warnings issued as it becomes more clear where this storm will setup. ❄️When it comes to exact locations and Snow totals, we are still WAY too far out to pin that down. That said, the most likely SNOW ZONE appears to be somewhere within the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys, though this will almost certainly shift as we get closer. ❄️Elsewhere, the Midwest will see a few rounds of light to moderate Snow Monday through Wednesday as a series of Alberta Clippers pass through. These should be minor systems, generally producing a few inches. ❄️ Boston, NYC, and parts of the Northeast will start the week with a healthy dose of Snow, with 4-5 inches possible by Monday morning. 🏔️ Out West, the Rocky Mountains from Colorado through Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho should pick up significant Mountain Snow, with over a foot possible in higher elevations. 🏔️The Cascades in Washington and Oregon will also see Snowfall, with a few feet possible in favored areas. ❄️The MAIN THING to remember this week: whoever gets hit by the late week Winter Storm could get A LOT of Snow, but there will also be plenty of busts nearby. So, my opinion on what the Antarctic (Antarctica) Anomaly is that it's a type of frequency technology. It must be way more powerful than HAARP, as many have claimed it to be, because we would see these anomalies at other HAARP sites, and we don't, not like this. With that said, and I'm very much trying to avoid letting what I want it to be not play a part here, I think it is a technology that is being used either off the coast of Antarctica itself or Bouvet Island. A third possibility is an area just to the northwest of the island that looks odd. It's possible it is a sonar scan from a ship, but why in that remote location? It looks like an antenna set up or rows of something that is out of place. I also believe that the weather events and fires that have taken place in Africa could possibly have been because of this. Each time we saw the anomaly, it was followed by a destructive weather event in Africa. A weird connection to that is we have been told and warned of a very busy 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. This is in part because of the above-average Atlantic ocean temperatures, which is the fuel to Hurricanes. With all this info, it's possible to see how the Anomaly could be a frequency tech that can manipulate or create weather, And or WARM up the Ocean temps to purposely enhance the Hurricane season and Storm growth. Keep in mind that many of our hurricanes and many of the biggest hurricanes have come from the west coast of Africa and form over the Cape Verde islands before heading towards the Caribbean and the United States. This is all of course speculation, and I'm learning many new things every day, so this idea may morph over time as we learn more. A third possibility is an area just to the northwest of the island that looks odd. It's possible it is a sonar scan from a ship, but why in that remote location? It looks like an antenna set up or rows of something that is out of place. I also believe that the weather events and fires that have taken place in Africa could possibly have been because of this. Each time we saw the anomaly, it was followed by a destructive weather event in Africa. A weird connection to that is we have been told and warned of a very busy 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. This is in part because of the above-average Atlantic ocean temperatures, which is the fuel to Hurricanes. With all this info, it's possible to see how the Anomaly could be a frequency tech that can manipulate or create weather, And or WARM up the Ocean temps to purposely enhance the Hurricane season and Storm growth. Keep in mind that many of our hurricanes and many of the biggest hurricanes have come from the west coast of Africa and form over the Cape Verde islands before heading towards the Caribbean and the United States. This is all of course speculation, and I'm learning many new things every day, so this idea may morph over time as we learn more. The first round of isolated severe thunderstorms will come ashore tonight, bringing the threat of a isolated tornado and severe wind gusts over 60 mph from the Central Coast up to Humboldt County. The severe weather threat then expands into the Central Valley during the afternoon, California’s tornado alley, with the potential for isolated tornadoes, damaging winds, and even large hail. The threat then shifts south into Southern California tomorrow, where isolated severe wind gusts and a brief tornado will be possible. However, Christmas Eve into Christmas morning features the most potent severe weather environment of the week and could lead to a severe thunderstorm outbreak along the coastline from the Central Coast up to the North Coast. The combination of strong low-level and deep-layer shear with sufficient instability is rarely seen in this part of the world. I seriously cannot recall seeing Significant Tornado Parameter (STP) values exceed 3 along the California coastline. The peak threat window appears to be from 10 PM Thursday to 8 AM Friday. It would not be out of the question to see a Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued Christmas Eve night with the potential for a couple tornadoes and scattered severe wind gusts. I also believe this may be the first time on record that San Francisco has been placed under a Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms in the Day 1–3 NWS Storm Prediction Center Convective Outlooks.

I think we might need to invent a new term for Rapid Intensification for this Blizzard. We may have some #aurora fun coming! More than 4 solar storms have been launched in the past few days from Region 4334. Some of them are headed to Earth! Along with the fast solar wind picking up by January 9, we could see a bumpy ride with storm conditions peaking January 11. G1 conditions expected thus far, but another storm just launched so forecasts may be changing rapidly! The first video highlights storms launched since January 6. The second video shows a closeup of Storms 3 and 4, which launched today in the Earth-Strike Zone. More analysis is coming.
