This is the long-closed Blake Hall station, on the former Epping-Ongar branch of London Underground’s Central line. (Now home to my friends Rog & Wendy). The heritage line in their garden is now Epping Ongar Railway - which has run through here since the tube trains ceased: and each Xmas they run these epic illuminated light trains at weekends. Passengers can book from Ongar station for a party-themed trip suitable for families, kids and adults. This loco is a #ThomastheTankEngine lookalike - with numbers and face removed - converted Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0ST locomotive No. 3781… once known as Linda, but now often known to those familiar with it, as… Dave - from Watercress Line. ;) The illuminated train concept is not new: the cta runs an annual Christmas Train on the L with electric stock and a Father Christmas Sleigh, but the first instance of a “train of lights” was on Dartmouth Steam Railway & Riverboat Co.. . There, the team was inspired by the Coca Cola trucks advert and reckoned they could do something similar: I’ll be heading down there to see my friends running it soon. . There are tickets available at both Dartmouth Steam Railway & Riverboat Co. and Epping Ongar Railway and both of them are fantastic nights out- and a way to play trains like you’ve never experienced before. Do go take a ride! 😍

Community Watch Grimsby, Fish Friday Halloween Tonight is the last night of mild weather before the temperature drops drastically One guy got recalled to prison so lost his accommodation and while inside for the 3 days his benefit claim was shut down so he's been released onto the streets with nothing 💔 1611 people died while homeless in the UK last year, tonight we gave our most vulnerable emergency sleeping bags tents coats trousers hats gloves, foil blankets, socks and a warm meal. We have given out so much over the years and that is thanks to your support 💙 lots of people keep asking for ways to support. 911 William Rodriguez, WTC’s North Tower 9/11/2001 Basement Level B1 An explosion so hard that pushes upwards in the air. Upwards. And it came out from below us, from the mechanical room that was right below us. Two different events separated by almost seven seconds (explosion/plane) I know the difference of a sound coming from the top and one from the bottom. QUOTE: I made it there at 8:30 in the morning, go straight to the lobby, down to the basement. The building has six sublevels of basement. B1, B2 all the way down to B6. At 8:46 we hear BOOM! An explosion so hard that pushes upwards in the air. Upwards. And it came out from below us, from the mechanical room that was right below us. And it was so loud and so powerful that all the walls cracked. The false ceiling fell on top of us, the sprinkler system got activated, and everybody started screaming so loud because they didn't know what was going on. And the first thing I'm going to say is that a generator just blew up on the B2 level, the level below me and everybody screaming. And when I'm going to verbalize it 6 to 7 seconds after we're here. But! The impact all the way on the top of the building of the plane. Two different events separated by almost seven seconds, separated by time. And now I work in the building for 20 years. I know the difference of a sound coming from the top and one from the bottom. So when everybody started, what the heck is going on? A person comes running into the office saying, explosion! Explosion! His hands extended, all the skin pulled from under his armpits, on both arms hanging, and we thought it was clothing. It was part of his clothes. Until he gets closer, he's coming like this. Like a zombie explosion. Explosion. And when I looked at him, I realized it was his skin. Like when you take off a glove and you let it hang him. And when I get to see his face, all this part was hanging off his face. And everybody started screaming in horror. And I say, don't move. The guy was a black guy named Philippe David worked for a company called Aramark.

🚨BREAKING: DHS is trying to argue that the ICE agent, who drove illegally down the shoulder of a highway and pointing a gun at innocent U.S. citizens, was just “performing his official duties.” And that prosecuting him is “nothing more than a political stunt.” According to prosecutors, this wasn’t some active takedown, or dangerous suspect situation. It was rush hour traffic. The agent allegedly chose to drive down the highway shoulder to get around it, and when a civilian vehicle got in his way… he pointed a GUN at the people inside. And DHS’s response is… you can’t prosecute him because he’s an ICE agent, and he was doing his job. So now we’re supposed to believe that illegally using the shoulder of a state highway, and pointing a GUN at random U.S. citizens, is just… a standard ICE procedure? The law is actually pretty clear on when officers can point a weapon at someone… it’s tied to an objectively reasonable belief of an immediate threat, or the need to prevent serious harm during a lawful enforcement action. It is not a free for all to use force because someone is in your way on the highway. And that’s exactly why DHS defending this is so dangerous. If “official duties” becomes a blanket excuse for this kind of behavior, then the standard shifts from what the law allows… to whatever a federal agent says was necessary in the moment. And once you do that, accountability disappears… and so do your rights.
