@svtbabel @svt @patzter Optimization implies realistic thinking imo. Unrealistic thinking is sub-optimal. A reduction in emotional disturbance accompanies intellectual humility, which can easily be confused with an unrealistic calm when we are inured to emotional irresponsibility in my view.
