Opus 4.7 now available in the Copilot CLI!

Same here. Been rate-limited the whole day and yesterday and i really am not pushing it very hard. Please look into this

are we stuck with only default (medium?) reasoning effort, or will we be able to select high/xhigh/max setting?

What about the rate limit? I am a Pro subscriber and only prompted it three times and was rate-limited. I haven't used any Claude model heavily this month, only working on GPT-4, and I haven't reached 30% of my plan yet! This is completely unfair.

How to get more credits on copilot in vscode and vs? Weekly limit hit. Budget wide open in github… Copilot pro+ …. What can i do? i’m back to manual coding…. Sloowwww.

Opus 4.7’s reasoning effort is inexplicably capped at medium, these artificial limits are a joke. If higher tiers are costly, let us pay for more reasoning or premium requests, but don’t strong‑arm us into switching to Claude Code just to get full Opus' capabilities !

Is there an argument to hide specific models? 😉

is it me or did the newest update of copilot cli make things untenably slow? 10 + sessions open and my mac was grinding to a halt. great work otherwise though!

Really happy to see it shipped so fast. But why is it 7.5x vs Opus 4.6 which is 3x ?? Pricing is the same no ?

This is huge for CLI workflows. Opus 4.7's extended reasoning means terminal-based development gets actual thinking power now. The question everyone's asking: can we control reasoning effort (medium/high) from the CLI, or is it locked at default?

With x7? No thanks. For the better, Opus 4.6 not to be replaced any time soon.
