Oregon Governor Tina Kotek issued an order pausing new data-center projects on state land. It directs every state agency to immediately pause unapproved requests for easements, leases, permits & sales of state-owned property for data center projects.

@KATUNews Have you actually done the research on how many data centers are here in Oregon already? How many of the 100+ did she approve? What tax breaks were given? She's only clapping back because her TDS is in the way 🙄

Spoiler alert! They were all approved before she did this. 😂

Tina Kotek just stood with the “ban data centers” crowd and froze state-land deals through mid-2027. Oregon already uses the cloud. We already run hospitals, farms, banks, and your kid’s school on these buildings. Freezing the next ones doesn’t make AI disappear. It just means the servers, tax base, and construction payroll go to Texas. That’s not “protecting Oregon.” That’s declining the industry and keeping the bill.

Good lord. You have to be a kool-aid drinking fool to believe this a genuine attempt at stopping data centers

The governor has went nuts putting up more data centers already, it’s like her helping homelessness she help more become homeless & attracted more homeless here as same with data centers.

Election year drivel

Plot twist: nearly all of them are going up on private land.

@ChristineDrazan It's laughable that kotek is screaming about this while history and facts proves she greenlighted hundreds of datacenters in OR. If we don't vote in Drazan in NOV OR is going to lose out on the greatest factory build out in America's history all because of failed democrat policies that make business move out of OR. Vote Drazan in NOV.

Kotek is Gaslighting and Defrauding Oregonians. Notice Kotek is putting data centers on pause, NOT canceling, but even if Kotek did cancel she would just reinstate the data centers after the election. Kotek has received millions from data centers.

So she stopped one but approved dozens and dozens of data centers prior?

Is that even a problem? I would expect data centers to be built on private land

Christine's first order of business is to cancel your executive orders.

Someone's up for re-election...

Kotek appointed a data-center advisory committee to figure out how Oregon should do this. They refused to recommend a moratorium. That wasn’t their charge. The charge was: grow it without dumping costs on ratepayers and rivers. Then she showed up at the rally and backed the pause anyway. If the experts you hired won’t say “stop,” maybe “stop” is politics, not policy.

They don’t build on state land nor does the state have the ability to involve itself in easements.

Political stunt. She's approved everything that's happened up to this point. Now she wants to enforce more government regulations and red tape, increasing government control.

Great. Working against the actual interests of the state and country. Going to end up like California. Never able to do anything because of red tape and lengthy permitting processes.

Before or after the billions she offered in tax breaks?

Of course she did. Do nothing, corrupt, inept… pick one, she’s the worst!

We already have about 115 data centers now.

Convenient... Right before the mid-terms. Christine Drazan for Governor. Time for a rebound. Time for a reset. Time for a change. Time for a Native Oregonian. York, PA? Where the hell is that.

She hates entrepreneurship and citizens making money. She hates YOU.

After she put a bunch in with huge tax breaks. Sucking up our energy and water!

What a tough spot to be in. Data centers provide much needed revenue for a struggling state economy. They also cut into nature- something Oregon has to protect. If there was only a way to put the money of the taxpayers toward what they want- instead of programs that are decided for the constituents. Could Oregon become a red state to save its fiscal life?

#TINA26!

Nice. More destruction of Oregon. Thanks! Please stop. We definitely have small towns, this could have helped -

How do you pause something that will never get started?

Meanwhile, Mississippi has surpassed Oregon in education. You thought Kate Brown was bad.

She liked them before Trump said he liked them… Tina is upset 😢

Data centers are vital infrastructure, however, we should be taking every last thing we can get out of them. Separate utilities, investments in the community, local hiring whenever possible, etc
