Oregon students will no longer need to be proficient in reading, writing, and math to graduate. They’re doing this cuz of “inequity” and having standards to graduate “disproportionately harmed students of color.” The Oregon Dept of Education is racist.

Why even waste the money sending them to school? Let them join the military at age 16 if they don't want to study. They can train, stay out of trouble, and get a GED in the military. Youth like that need structure and discipline.

A school district in Virginia has created a special "Advanced Placement" class for Black High Schoolers where they are playing with literal children's play-doh in High School and supposedly eligible for college credit!

The report card from Harrisburg is in and the results are alarming. Just 12% of Harrisburg High School students are proficient in reading. Only 2% are proficient in math. And science proficiency is just 3%. Our students deserve better. It’s time for Pennsylvania to opt-in to the federal Education Freedom Tax Credit and give families real options at getting a quality education.

The suspension of these graduation requirements will last through the 2027-2028 school year. Board Chair Guadalupe Martinez Zapata likened “rhetoric about cultural and social norms being the underlying reason for underperformance on assessments by systemically marginalized students” to “racial superiority arguments.” Signs of a declining society.

A recent poll showed that 80% of Oregonians support requiring local school districts to provide at least the national average of school days. Your kids deserve a world-class education, and on Day One I will work to increase classroom time and give teachers the resources they need so that all Oregon students and teachers can be successful.

Our education system is failing miserably Black American is asked to read this simple sentence The only words she can read is the word ‘funding’ and a couple more but can’t read or even pronounce most of the other words Here are the English proficiency score percentages according to national data Elementary School - White students: ~35–40% proficient - Black students: ~15–20% proficient Middle School - White students: ~30–35% proficient - Black students: ~12–18% proficient High School - White students: ~35–40% proficient - Black students: ~15–20% proficient Now obviously there is a gap here where white students are twice as likely to be proficient at reading compared to black students but that’s not the point The point is nobody passes on average. Even at 40% that’s less than half our kids finishing high school proficient at English This is horrible
