Jessica Chastain is exactly the actor you want at the center of something this unhinged.

BREAKING: Neon just dropped the full trailer for James Gray’s upcoming crime thriller Paper Tiger & I’m so incredibly excited. This film, featuring Adam Driver, Miles Teller & Scarlett Johansson, has Oscar written all over it. Unquestionably one of my most anticipated releases of 2026. I cannot wait to see this movie.

I Play Rocky is another 2026 release that couldn’t crack my 10 Most Anticipated Remaining Releases of 2026, but it’s a film I can’t wait to see. Building out this list the other day & seeing how many outstanding films have yet to be released that didn’t make this list gets me so, so hyped. 2026 has been such a special year for film. Cinema fought back. I’m totally invigorated.

FIRST LOOK: Oscar-Winner Jessica Chastain’s next film Other Mommy. This trailer before The Odyssey rocked my world. Chastain plays dual roles as both the real mother to an eight-year-old girl named Bela and a body-twisting doppelgänger entity called "Other Mommy". October 9th release. Added to my Letterboxd watchlist.

Jessica Chastain is electric in Molly’s Game. This film earned an Aaron Sorkin an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay, but it should’ve also earned Chastain a Best Actress nomination. Chastain is asked to do so much this entire film- not to mention she narrates the whole story. I think her character’s evolution over the course of the story is enhanced by her acting. A beautiful film.

Apocalypse Now won the Oscar for Best Cinematography in 1980 & it’s one of the most deserving Oscar wins I can remember. Movies just don’t look like this. It’s a film that totally & completely changed my expectations of Cinema. I didn’t know you could do this before I saw this movie. I consider Apocalypse Now & William Friedkin’s 1977 film Sorcerer as two of the most visually stunning films I’ve ever seen, each coming at the end of the ‘70s.

BREAKING: The first trailer for James Gray’s upcoming release Paper Tiger just dropped. This is one of my most anticipated films of 2026 & an early contender for the Oscar for Best Picture. I’ve read from countless sources that this is some of Adam Driver’s best work. I can’t wait to see this & it’s already been added to my Letterboxd watchlist.

Yeah I want to defend this guy so bad but he just sucks. Get his ass out of the Top 10. This is just one of the worst Turn 1 performing units I think I’ve ever played in YEARS. Such a disappointment from one of my most anticipated releases since they introduced tags.

A Most Violent Year is a crime thriller that takes place in ‘80s New York City & directed by J. C. Chandor. Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac are the center of this film & they are each outstanding (so is Albert Brooks). I think more people should see this film- it’s excellent.

The Invite is officially available on demand today & I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been telling every friend of mine to see this movie & I hope more people I know get a chance to see this now, even though catching this in a packed theater was just an unforgettable experience. I expect this film, which I have ranked as the 2nd best film of 2026 so far, to compete for the Oscar for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and multiple acting nominations. Please see this film, it’s amazing.

BREAKING: David Fincher finally released the full trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, which is scheduled to release on November 25th. I’d love your thoughts but upon first glance, I think this looks awesome. Easily one of my most anticipated releases of 2026, I’m glad we finally have something to sink our teeth into.

#PSMithran: - I approached her for a film in 2017, but I didn’t get to meet her. The film didn’t happen, but I had seen the trailer of her Iranian film. #MalavikaMohanan: - Actually, a lot of directors saw Beyond the Clouds. #KarthikSubbaraj sir had also seen Beyond the Clouds, and that’s how my first Tamil film happened. He saw me in Beyond the Clouds and called me for that character.

Mikey Madison hasn’t starred in a film since she won an Oscar for Anora. Well, folks, that changes in 2026. She’s in the much-anticipated sequel to The Social Network, titled The Social Reckoning. This film is definitely on my radar but without Fincher, I’m scared it could flop.

James Gray & Brad Pitt are each at the center of Hollywood this fall, as both have new releases around the corner that are set to make major waves, especially Gray with his new film Paper Tiger. A reminder that their 2019 film Ad Astra is a magical piece of Cinema that released during a loaded year of film. I always find a reason to revisit this movie. Donald Sutherland is also exceptional here.

Elle Fanning is only 27 but her filmography is already longer than most actors double her age. She’s also now an #Oscar nominee for her work in Sentimental Value- a film I love. I’m excited to see where Fanning goes from here & where she takes her career. The sky’s the limit.

Is this racism? The video below has been circulating, showing a medal ceremony for gymnastics in Ireland. As you can see, a medal is given to every girl except for the black girl. You can see she gets all excited and ready to receive her medal, only for the official to move past her and onto the next gymnast. After handing out the medals, the official had one remaining medal, and still did not go back and give it to this girl. What are your thoughts? Is it racism, a mistake, or something else? It sure looks bad to me.
