Our agents recently took two dangerous suspects into custody following a high stakes encounter that began with a carjacked vehicle out of Denver. On March 23 agents spotted the stolen car near West Teller Street and West Colfax Avenue and immediately coordinated a response. With the vital assistance of... Colorado State Patrol, the suspect vehicle was successfully intercepted as it turned south on Kipling Street. You can see in the video how the specialized grappling equipment effectively tethered the car even as the driver attempted to rev the engine and escape. The situation escalated when a passenger discarded a firearm and the driver attempted to flee on foot across Kipling Street. Our agents pursued and apprehended the driver who was found with a loaded stolen handgun and several packages of powdered fentanyl in his possession. Both individuals now face a long list of charges including motor vehicle theft and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. We are proud of the quick thinking and seamless teamwork displayed by our agents and state partners to remove these weapons and drugs from our community. Quick thinking #DCSO deputies catch another auto theft suspect. On Monday night, patrol deputies responded to a report of an in-progress vehicle theft on Mill Vista Road in Highlands Ranch. Responding deputies quickly established a perimeter and began searching the area. The vehicle was located, occupied, in a parking garage on Mill Vista Road. Upon observing law enforcement in the area, the suspect vehicle attempted to back out of a parking space. The deputy activated the patrol vehicle's emergency lights and pulled forward to signal the suspect to stop. The suspect vehicle accelerated forward, scraping, and colliding with the front passenger side push bumper of the patrol vehicle. The vehicle ran a stop sign and sped away. Deputies pursued the vehicle for a short distance, and the suspect vehicle spun out of control and rolled backwards into a metal railing, where it was pinned in place by deputies. The suspect, later identified as Armon Chism (DOB: 05/15/1982), of Denver, fled from the vehicle, and a short foot pursuit was initiated by pursuing deputies. The suspect was placed into custody after a successful taser deployment. While conducting their investigation, deputies were able to establish probable cause that Chism was a suspect in an earlier vehicle pursuit of a stolen Hyundai Tucson at the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and County Line Road. Chism was found to be in possession of the stolen Hyundai ignition key and the vehicle was recovered nearby. Chism was booked into the Douglas County Jail for investigation of Motor Vehicle Theft, Vehicular Eluding, Obstructing a Peace Officer, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), Protection Order Violation, and Criminal Impersonation. Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly said, “We will not allow criminals to victimize Douglas County residents. We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community will continue to work tirelessly to protect our residents and their property. I am so proud of my deputies who responded quickly and didn’t give up until this suspect was in custody.”

BREAKING: Border Patrol agents in Portland were nearly run over by a car driven by someone believed to be a member of the Tren de Aragua gang, according to DHS. Agents then allegedly fired defensive shots. Here is the full statement from DHS: "At 2;19 PST, US Border Patrol agents were conducting a targeted vehicle stop in Portland, Oregon." "The passenger of the vehicle and target is a Venezuelan illegal alien affiliated with the transnational Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and involved in a recent shooting in Portland." Our deputies recently received a Flock hit on a stolen Chevy Silverado in the Evergreen area. The driver attempted to evade deputies by using side streets and back roads, but with the help of some well-placed stop sticks, we were able to slow the vehicle down after disabling multiple tires. A JSCO sergeant used the Grappler Police Bumper to safely bring the vehicle to a stop near Morrison Rd. and C-470. The driver made one last attempt to flee on foot, which also didn’t work. The suspect was eventually tased and taken into custody. The individual had an active warrant, was driving under restraint, and now faces charges for vehicular eluding, resisting arrest, aggravated motor vehicle theft, careless driving, and possession of a controlled substance. Great teamwork by all involved. It’s what we do.

Deputies began searching the area for the car and located it parked in a strip mall’s lot. Deputies formulated a plan and blocked the vehicle in the parking spot. Deputies took the driver and rear passenger into custody without incident, then located the 3rd passenger walking the strip mall's parking lot and took her into custody without incident. Brooklyn: West 20th Street & Surf Avenue, a man coming out of the Stillwell Avenue train station unknowingly stepped into an illegal cab that was already being watched by TLC enforcement. Officers moved in to initiate a stop, and the vehicle finally pulled over on West 20th Street between Surf Avenue and Mermaid Avenue. The traffic stop escalated immediately. The driver refused to hand over his documents and began arguing with the officer at the window. Inside the car, the passenger quickly realized he had walked into the wrong situation, he had an out-of-state bench warrant and wanted no part of a confrontation with police. As soon as the vehicle came to a full stop, he got out and distanced himself from the scene. With the passenger gone, the driver hit the gas, fleeing from the traffic stop and leaving TLC enforcement behind as he sped off.

After locating the vehicle and confirming it was stolen, one of our officers attempted a traffic stop. The suspect chose to flee. Rather than initiate a pursuit, the officers deployed a GPS tracking device and monitored the vehicle from a safe distance. A short time later, the vehicle came to a stop in a nearby neighborhood. Officers moved in and located the suspect nearby. He attempted to run but was quickly taken into custody. During the arrest, Officers recovered a firearm from the suspect’s backpack, along with marijuana. The suspect showed signs of impairment, and a warrant for a blood draw was obtained. This is what it looks like when training, technology, and teamwork come together. A dangerous situation brought under control without the need for a pursuit, reducing risk for everyone involved.

They fled in a white Cadillac Escalade with a black hood and blocked plates, eastbound on Yorkshire as the first officers arrived on scene around 1:25 a.m. The vehicle was initially lost, but a SPPD officer found it again, eastbound on 7th Street toward Montreal Avenue. The officer initiated a pursuit, and the suspect driver fled at speeds around 80 mph, eastbound on 7th, then onto Osceola Avenue before making it onto northbound I-35E from Grand Avenue, with speeds reported in excess of 100 mph. The suspect continued northbound on I-35E and exited at Maryland Avenue E., where officers successfully deployed stopsticks to deflate the tires. Both the driver and passenger then bailed on foot near Maryland Avenue E. & Ruth Street N. Officers deployed a Taser to take one of the suspects into custody and the other was in cuffs by around 1:45 a.m., with the stolen tires recovered and en route back to their owner. Medics were also paged to evaluate the male suspect who was Tased after the pursuit.

On November 9th, SPD Officers responded to reports by security personnel of juveniles fighting near the 400 block of K Street. During the fight, one of the juveniles produced a handgun. Officers coordinated with security personnel and used SPD's Public Safety Camera Network, to track down the armed juvenile who was still on K Street. The juvenile was still in possession of the handgun, and a second juvenile was found to be in possession of an imitation firearm. Both juveniles were arrested for weapons related charges. During a search of the suspect, officers found a loaded firearm in the waistband of Jabarco Botellapatino Coleman (DOB: 11/09/1976). Officers also recovered crack cocaine and weed from the vehicle. On March 16, 2026, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Dallas Police officers assigned to the Project Safe Neighborhood Task Force located a vehicle that was reported stolen in an armed carjacking on March 15. The officers called for additional units and AIR-1 to maintain visual contact with the vehicle before attempting a traffic stop in the 12300 block of Greenville Avenue. As officers approached and ordered the driver to exit the vehicle, the car took off, and the officers immediately began to pursue it. With AIR-1 overhead, the suspect drove the wrong way down Greenville Avenue, and officers chased the driver onto I-635 with the suspect’s speed approaching 120 miles per hour. The suspect exited the freeway at Jupiter Road and continued to speed through residential areas. Because the helicopter was tracking the suspect, officers were able to safely navigate the residential areas and surface streets, following the suspect back onto I-635. The suspect sped through a construction zone, again reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour until he exited on Town East Boulevard and headed into the City of Mesquite, driving into oncoming traffic into the 2000 block of Town East Boulevard. With traffic building ahead, the suspect attempted to drive over the median and his vehicle became disabled. Dallas Police officers, assisted by officers from Mesquite and deputies from the Dallas Sheriff’s Office, took the suspect into custody. He was identified as 46-year-old Alfredo Hernandez and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a state jail felony; Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, a third-degree felony; Manufacture / Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a second-degree felony; and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, a third-degree felony. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues. This investigation is documented under case number 037178-2026.

What began as a call for a verbal disturbance at a cell phone repair shop on W. Colfax quickly escalated into the removal of an illegal, high-capacity machine gun from our streets. Lakewood Agents responded to reports of a man harassing employees after being told his phone could not be repaired. Despite multiple requests to leave, the individual continued to cause a disturbance and eventually returned to the property after being escorted out. After placing the suspect under arrest for trespassing, Agents observed a handgun in plain sight inside his vehicle. Upon further inspection, the weapon was found to be equipped with a 33-round, high-capacity magazine and a 3-D printed “Glock Switch” (Auto Sear). A "switch" is a small device that converts a standard semi-automatic handgun into a fully automatic machine gun. These illegal modifications are incredibly dangerous to the public and our agents. In addition to the illegal weapon, the suspect was also found to have an active felony warrant from another metro jurisdiction. He is now facing multiple charges, including Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine, 2nd Degree Trespass, and Disorderly Conduct. What began as a call for a verbal disturbance at a cell phone repair shop on W. Colfax quickly escalated into the removal of an illegal, high-capacity machine gun from our streets. Lakewood Agents responded to reports of a man harassing employees after being told his phone could not be repaired. Despite multiple requests to leave, the individual continued to cause a disturbance and eventually returned to the property after being escorted out. After placing the suspect under arrest for trespassing, Agents observed a handgun in plain sight inside his vehicle. Upon further inspection, the weapon was found to be equipped with a 33-round, high-capacity magazine and a 3-D printed “Glock Switch” (Auto Sear). A "switch" is a small device that converts a standard semi-automatic handgun into a fully automatic machine gun. These illegal modifications are incredibly dangerous to the public and our agents. In addition to the illegal weapon, the suspect was also found to have an active felony warrant from another metro jurisdiction. He is now facing multiple charges, including Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine, 2nd Degree Trespass, and Disorderly Conduct. After he was arrested in Dallas on May 30 for allegedly driving without a valid license, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm, a suspect in Texas decided to take the police wheel into his own hands. The incident happened after the suspect secretly removed his left hand from his handcuffs. When officers began driving to jail, the suspect attempted to open the squad car's rear door, prompting the officers to get out of the car, and eventually climbed into the driver’s seat and took off. One of the officers managed to jump into the backseat of the vehicle. That officer then attempted to stop the suspect by tasing him and striking him on the side of the head with his firearm. The suspect opened the driver’s side door and jumped out after driving what police said was a distance of about 1,000 feet. At that point, the police officer was able to regain control of the patrol car, and the suspect was given medical assistance before being taken back into custody, where he faces numerous charges.

Virginia State Police recently released dash-cam footage of a pursuit back in March of 2024. The driver — identified by police as JEVON MARK, 23, of Reston — was taken into custody and charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, eluding police, throwing missiles, reckless driving and one felony count of hit and run. Police also detained and released two passengers in the vehicle, and the gun thrown out of the Jeep was found. Two Reston men are facing multiple charges — including attempted murder in one case — after allegedly getting involved in police pursuits on the Capital Beltway. The chase began around 9:54 p.m. when a Virginia State Police trooper moved to stop a Jeep Cherokee SRT for reckless driving on I-495 near S. Van Dorn Street in Rose Hill, according to the Virginia State Patrol. “The Cherokee refused to stop for the trooper and a pursuit was initiated,” state police said. “During the course of the pursuit, the driver of the Jeep threw a firearm out the window. The firearm struck the ground and then the trooper’s vehicle.” After the chase got off the Beltway, the driver hit the trooper’s vehicle with the Jeep at the Braddock Road and Twinbrook Road intersection in the Kings Park West area, VSP said.
