NTA that conducts NEET exam is the younger brother of Election Commission ... Not responded to the previous issues highlighted on 10 May post given below... On top of those concerns NTA given grace marks without any standard and that too in a dubious way .... @NTA_Exams , this is how you conduct one of the most competitive exams in India ? You got to come up and answer those concerns ... what are you hiding ... Why are you silent .... This entrance should have left to individual states , this another federalisation of state power... #WATCH | Delhi: On NEET-UG 2026 exam cancelled due to allegations of paper leak, NTA DG Abhishek Singh says, "...We have handed over the matter to CBI. All accused will be nabbed and jailed so that the future of students are not adversely impacted. We will conduct a re-exam for students and it will be done in a fair manner. We have also decided that we will not charge any additional fee for the re-exam, we will also refund the fee charged in the first exam..." "On the night of 7th May, we received information through a whistleblower that before the exams were conducted, the individual had received a WhatsApp message wherein some questions were matching the exact questions in the exam...It was our job to verify those allegations and also to verify whether those PDFs were available to anyone before 3rd May - the day of exam. Upon checking, it was found that some questions matched our question paper. It was also found that on 1st and 2nd May, the PDF was available on the phones of a few people...This was against our zero tolerance policy. This would have impacted the future of students preparing hard for the exam...So, in their interest, we took this step. We have handed over the matter to CBI. It is very unlikely that any problem should happen with the conduct of the examination. So, I assure to all students and my best wishes to all students for this forthcoming NEET-PG exam on 30th August on behalf of National Board of Examinations of Medical Sciences, NMC and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare." He also says, "Exam Committee's view was that by reducing 20 questions, the students will get at least half an hour more to solve 180 questions. So, that is the purpose of reducing the overall number of questions. So, rather than increasing the duration of exam, the exam committee thought that it will be better if they are given less questions in the same time..."

The main focus is that the NEET UG paper leaked... Our major demand is that NTA should be dissolved, and an independent court-appointed committee should be formed by the Supreme Court for the conduct of the NEET-UG examination to ensure that such systemic failures are not repeated... We have also prayed that a high-power committee should be appointed by the court, which should monitor the functioning of the body which will conduct the examination, and to ensure that this entire process is transparent. The immediate relief which we have placed in the petition is that this exam will be conducted in a few months or maybe a few weeks..."

To avoid malpractices, we are implementing these changes... It is SSC's responsibility to conduct the exam... There are four agencies involved, each playing an important role. If any agency has shortcomings, we will take action against them. We have also received some complaints stating that questions were incorrect due to the involvement of some agency. However, this is not correct because questions come from different sources... I am confident that in the future, exams will be conducted smoothly."

The Candidates who appeared for the WBPSC Exam for getting recruited to the post of Food & Supplies Service Sub-Inspector have been raising their voice against the West Bengal Public Service Commission for quite some time now. Their allegation is that Exam conducted conducted in the month of March 2024 was marred by various irregularities including the examination paper getting leaked before the exam. They are also complaining that every time the exam is being held, the number of vacant posts get lesser. As the Leader of the Opposition, I am extending my support to their rightful agitation and would like to assure them of any help, including getting them access to the best legal support available in the future. The State of West Bengal has repeatedly failed to conduct any and every recruitment exam properly, which result in stress & anxiety for the eligible candidates.

VIDEO | CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka says, "I just came to know that CBI has filed a charge sheet in the NEET 2026 case which involves a lot of NTA officers... We demand that the NTA be dissolved and it be converted into a national technical testing commission which has permanent staff, which has proper auditing of each of the exam it conducts. We also demand that not just 2026 but all the paper leaks that have happened in this country in last few years be investigated thoroughly and all the accused be brought to justice which includes NEET 2024 and NEET 2025. We demand that the NTA be dissolved and it be converted into a national technical testing commission which has permanent staff, which has proper auditing of each of the exam it conducts. We also demand that not just 2026 but all the paper leaks that have happened in this country in last few years be investigated thoroughly and all the accused be brought to justice which includes NEET 2024 and NEET 2025. It is imperative that the government takes steps to solve these structural issues that are plaguing the systems of this country not just NTA but the entire exam system which includes the exam infrastructure which includes the vendors have to be audited properly and it has to be made sure that the country doesn't see any more paper leaks."
