More than 700 kilometers from our state border, in Russia’s Yaroslavl region, SSU warriors struck an oil facility that was important for the reserves of the aggressor state. Warriors of our army reached their targets in Russia’s Tula region – specifically, the Azot plant, whose operations are critical to explosives production capabilities. Air traffic restrictions were imposed at six Russian airports, and overall, since yesterday evening, 28 regions of Russia have been under air raid alerts. Ukraine continues applying long‑range sanctions in response to Russian strikes. Last night, the warriors of our Defense Forces hit targets across different regions of Russia that are fueling this war. Once again, a plant in Kirov was struck – the one supplying components for the weapons Russia uses to attack our people. That’s about 1,200 kilometers from Ukraine’s border. Also hit were an oil refinery in Tyumen, a logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, and a fuel and lubricants depot in Rostov‑on‑Don. We also achieved very strong results with long‑range strikes in the Caspian Sea – including vessels used in military cargo shipments involving Iran, as well as a warship. Thank you for these results! Ukrainian long-range drones struck the Slavneft-Yanos oil refinery in Yaroslavl Oblast, over 700 kilometers (435 miles) from the Ukrainian border, overnight on Aug. 6. “Today, our long-range sanctions worked again to limit Russia’s oil profits used to finance the war,” Zelensky said, adding that Ukrainian forces also struck two Russian patrol boats and shadow fleet vessels in the Black Sea.
