ALERT: 39 illegal aliens escaping a semi-truck that's on fire are shown in released bodycam footage by Texas DPS. Texas Department of Safety responded to assist Border Patrol Agents in stopping a truck with a tractor-trailer on the freeway when the vehicle ran through a tire deflationary device and eventually caught on fire. Agents immediately removed the driver and passenger and were alerted to more passengers being inside the trailer. They quickly unlocked the trailer to find 39 suspected illegal immigrants from the back and medically screened the individuals before detaining them. Texas DPS said on their Instagram, "This incident is a reminder of the dangerous lengths human smugglers will go to when engaging in this criminal activity, and DPS is proud to work with our federal partners, like USBP, to stop them."

Y’all, MULTIPLE TIMES throughout the video the white lady & border patrol mention this is NOT at a border crossing but some point that is within 100 miles of a border crossing. Again, THIS WAS NOT AT A BORDER CROSSING. It was a checkpoint in the US WITHIN 100 miles of the border. So.... Border Patrol can have checkpoints up to 100 miles from our actual border. Drive through west Texas and Southern New Mexico, you'll hit a border patrol checkpoint. They will ask you your citizenship. This has been in place for decades....
