Today, the 11-day sit-in protest by the families of forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals was attacked by the forces when they were marching towards the Red Zone. Elderly men, women, and children were subjected to brutal violence, including live firing. Dozens of protesters were taken into custody and shifted to unknown locations. For decades, the state institutions' response to peaceful demonstrations has been violence and intimidation. The forced disappearances and genocide of the Baloch people continue, and when the families and civil society protest, they are treated with cruelty, beaten, dragged, and imprisoned. After facing severe crackdown, the protesters have reorganized and continued their protest. We urge the Baloch and Pashtun people to join the protest as soon as possible and call on the judiciary to intervene in this matter to safeguard the right to peaceful assembly of these already victimized people.

Once again at midnight, the Sindh police violently attacked a peaceful protest organized in solidarity with the Baloch Yakjehti Committee’s Baloch Raaji Muchi and in opposition to the brutal crackdown on the movement. Many of the peaceful protesters including women's were arrested and detained by the police. When the protesters resisted, the police were compelled to release some of them, though more than ten protesters remain detained. Dear Baloch Nation and the World, I, along with thousands of others, am still in Gwadar, with the internet shut down, roads blocked, and the city isolated with a complete media censorship imposed. Controlled media is continuously used to portray us as violent and unwilling to negotiate. From day one, we have been peaceful despite the state's brutal crackdown. Our national gathering on July 28 was turned into a sit-in due to the state's actions. State actions included blocking roads and highways, shutting down the internet, arresting peaceful protesters, and firing direct gunshots at them. Our clear, legitimate demands to create an environment of talks are: A. Registering FIRs against forces that used violence in Mastung, Gwadar, Nushki, Turbat, Talar and other parts of Balochistan by killing and injuring peaceful protesters. B. Lifting the blockade/curfew in Gwadar and other parts of Balochistan. State shall guarantee no further use of force or violence by the state security forces will occur. C. Stopping the harassment and arrest of BYC workers, supporters, and residents of Gwadar. Govt should admit it used force to crush a peaceful movement. D. Releasing all those arrested before, during, and after our national gathering. Bogus FIRS registered must be quashed. E. Compensate the public for financial damages caused by state military and intelligence agencies during the Baloch National Gathering by breaking into homes, vandalising property, burning vehicles and confiscating personal belongings. Instead of meeting our demands, the state is using more force, escalating the situation to find reasons to arrest me, my colleagues, and BYC leadership. The rest of the BYC leadership and I are at great risk and our lives are in serious danger. Now, all government machinery is being used to legitimize a crackdown on us, putting us at greater risk. The situation resembles the events during Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti's time, where negotiation was claimed, but force was used. This is being repeated now. We call on rights groups, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Amnesty International South Asia, Regional Office, Front Line Defenders, Human Rights Watch, Mary Lawlor, United Nations Pakistan - اقوام متحدہ پاکستان, EUPakistan, and Riina Kionka to intervene and stop this political misadventure by the state of Pakistan. Dear Baloch Nation and the World, I, along with thousands of others, am still in Gwadar, with the internet shut down, roads blocked, and the city isolated with a complete media censorship imposed. The rally commenced at Bus Adda Mastung and proceeded to the graveyards of the Baloch martyrs, where BYC central leadership paid their respects by showering flowers, laying traditional Balochi chadars on the graves, and reciting prayers for the departed souls. The rally witnessed the participation of hundreds of motorcycles and vehicles, symbolizing the ongoing Baloch genocide. Participants displayed banners and placards reflecting the plight and resilience of the Baloch people. Dr Mahrang Baloch and ShahJi Sibghatullah addressed the rally, urging the public to uphold the ideology and struggle of the Baloch martyrs. They emphasized the importance of forming a united front to resist all forms of oppression and injustice faced by the Baloch. This rally was part of BYC's broader campaign to commemorate Baloch Genocide Day, observed annually on January 25th. As part of this campaign, BYC has announced a public assembly in Dalbandin. For more than five months, the leaders of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) including Mahrang Baloch and others have been held in illegal detention under fabricated charges. Their only crime is raising their voices against the injustices inflicted on the people of Balochistan. The all detained individuals are human rights defenders and political voices who dared to speak against enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and the ongoing repression in the region. Their imprisonment is not only an attack on their dignity and freedom but also on the fundamental right of every citizen to demand justice and accountability. Silencing them will not erase the truth. Instead, it exposes the state’s fear of those who stand courageously with their people. The struggle for justice in Balochistan cannot be suppressed by detentions and false accusations, it will only grow stronger. #IStandWithBYCLeaders #ReleaseBYCLeaders
