PabloReports: Have you heard from the administration at all about you getting tear-gassed by ICE? Kim: It’s not about me. It’s about those detainees and their families. What’s happening at Delaney Hall is not just one bad apple. There are Delaney Halls all across this country. I was grateful for Ms. Rachel shining a light on Dilley and elsewhere, where we see these problems.

🗣️ Mikel Arteta on staff members helping with transfers: “Yeah, I don’t know where that is coming from. “But we all have responsibility in everything that we do, and we know people. “Obviously, we need to find out about people. “There are certain relationships that have to be used, but there is nothing different from any other member of the staff.”

Gov. Mikie Sherrill: I want to talk about the situation at Delaney Hall, a private detention facility in Newark that I've long said needs to close. For days we've heard reports of unsafe, inhumane and unconstitutional conditions there. I went there myself and I was denied entry. We've seen increasing violence, arrests, and pepper spray at Delaney Hall, as well as public threats from the Trump administration. We know what ICE has done in other states, and we know American citizens lost their lives. I refuse to let that happen in New Jersey.

Sen. Andy Kim: I rise to share stories from detainees at Delaney Hall. There are currently 800 detainees at Delaney Hall. It's become an example of our broken immigration system. I've heard repeatedly and seen with my own eyes the conditions at Delaney Hall. Food that is inedible. I had a man show me a container of milk that was curdled solid. I've heard about the issues of mold and issues of safety and security. What I've heard is unacceptable.

Rep. LaMonica McIver: The administration chose to reopen Delaney Hall, a privately operated ICE detention facility ran by GEO Group. I have seen firsthand the inhumane conditions that detainees face each and every day there. Because of my efforts to ring the alarm about ICE's terror at Delaney, I am facing 17 years in prison on trumped up charges from this administration.

.Pablo Manríquez: Any reaction to DHS buying up these warehouses across the country as detention centers? Kim: People in my state are furious about this. We’re seeing they’re looking into one in Roxbury. Just the lack of transparency and how they’ve handled Delaney Hall… I certainly don’t feel safe with these types of efforts that ICE is doing in my state.

There is an extreme need for transparency and accountability in ICE detention facilities. Today’s unannounced oversight visit to the NW Detention Center once again led to contradictory information being given by ICE and Geo Group versus what we are hearing from detainees. The people within these walls are suffering so severely that as many as 140 people are going on a hunger strike over concerns about access to nutrition and medical care. It is egregious and immoral. Watch to learn more. ICE must be abolished. Stay loud.

Paxton: The momentum is ours as long as we tell the American people and my voters the truth about my record. There is nothing he and I agree on. He isn’t talking about my record. He gets off on a lot of side issues…

Napheesa Collier on being back at practice and how the ankles have progressed “It’s been going well, I’m progressing really well but obviously it’s hard to be out, not to be with the team. I’ve been trying to take advantage of it, get healthy, bring my perspective which is different from the sideline than on the court. So trying to be like a player coach out there for them, as best as I can but it definitely feels better to be on the court”

“I’m being arrested by the Finnish police for doing nothing. I was at the taxi rank trying to get a customer, as I normally do. A police officer came to my car. There were several other cars there, but they didn’t speak to any of the other drivers…. they only came to me.” — Taxi man in Finland

I went to my local No Kings rally to talk to people about what they’re worried about as well as what’s mobilizing them today. A lot of great conversations and a lot to think on, even if I think the rally itself has some notable shortcomings

Buttigieg: The purpose of transportation is to connect. But there are so many cases where transportation was used to divide We have the phrase "Wrong side of the tracks." That tells you everything you need to know about how a piece of infrastructure can be used as a dividing line, sometimes very directly separating black neighborhoods from white neighborhoods. I was astonished how when I started talking about this obvious historic, documented fact about how some of these things were built the way they were and about the effect it has on people today, not as an historical concern but as a current, modern-day source of inequity, some of the folks over at Fox News and other places lost their minds

Jayson Tatum on why he’s traveling with the team: “Not being able to be out there with the team is already tough enough. But still traveling and being with them during meetings and games and practices and shootarounds — trying to feel as much a part of the team as I can — it really helps my mental out a lot.”

"I get the pleasure of being able to see the day to day. We always get judged on Saturday, but I know how we got there. And if you just say consistent-and you've got a really good culture and really good coaches and really good people, things like this are just going to happen."

Jayapal: It is an increase in ICE funding. The reason people are saying it isn’t is because the CR from last year had an anomaly—a one-time funding amount of $485 million. If you add that into the base-year funding and look at this year, there is a $115 million decrease, but that was one-time anomaly funding. The core issue here is that there really are no guardrails on ICE and CBP. I can’t vote for it. I can’t be complicit in continuing to allow them to violate the constitutional rights of people across this country.
