In BC: it dropped 7.1 years (2015-2021), in Alberta, it’s down 7 years since 2015; now 19-year gap vs non-Indigenous. The opioid crisis hit reserves hardest, reversing prior gains. We have tens of billions poured in, accountability paused and yet outcomes are worse. In addition to all of this spending, we are allowing major land claims, to which most of BC is subject to.
