I see many Tegaru rightfully pushing for peace and urging Tigrayan leadership not to go to war. This is completely understandable our people have endured unimaginable pain and suffering over the past few years. I fully support this campaign for peace. But what’s deeply frustrating is that this pressure seems entirely one-sided. While our community pleads for peace, the Ethiopian government is actively mobilizing its army and moving heavy military equipment toward Tigray. And yet, I don’t see the same energy or accountability being demanded from that side. The truth is, no matter how hard we push our leadership for peace, if the federal government decides to launch another invasion, there’s little we can do to stop it. The public on that side won’t resist they’ll likely support and even cheer it on.
