I grew up there, it was a terrible crossing spot back then and it’s even worse now

Anyone who's driven from Pecos to New Mexico on 285 understands that this is not surprising all. Honestly, surprised it dosent happen at least once per week

If you get stuck on the tracks, CALL THE # ON THE SIGN. I swear truck drivers do everything to make sure the train hits them.

Whenever I think I had a bad day, the internet always makes it feel less bad🤣

The most senseless part of this is there are big signs posted at all crossing with 800 emergency phone numbers to call RR dispatch and let them know you’re blocking the crossing. They can stop any trains coming almost immediately. Stunning that drivers don’t do this more often.
