It forces them to choose a single way to play us when we release the DE. - The ways in which DE's will play us (outside of normal reads are: 1. Wrong Arm 2. Squeeze and Chase 3. Play for Width 4. Mesh Charge - We want to be able to run any play at any time. - We can create the same mesh point on downhill runs without sacrificing our ability to run perimeter schemes. - Better position to get good play action and involve the RB in the pass game. - The last thing that prompted our move to being a sidecar team was to fit the skill set of our QB.
