This is a bad reading. Thinking that other people “suck” misses the point and plays into our baser instincts. Others are not simply instruments for us to “practice stoicism”, but rather as Aurelius tells us, a part of nature, like ourselves. They are a “opposing row of teeth”.

Marcus didn't open Meditations with anything, he wanted those writings to be private. Good job honoring him by saying aloud what he thought should be a private thought. I'll be patient, while you do better than this. Shameful

Nice message ! At this point and age, if one does not understand people are different and thats the good side of things, most likely are the kind that would say 'people suck' meaning it, unlike how you use it to prove a point.

I disagree with this so much, even from the Stoic perspective. People don't suck. They are products of Nature which does not think in our terms. Our perception of them, and what we allow to affect us, makes us think they suck. NOTHING made by Nature sucks.
