🚨LANDFALL: Titanic Typhoon Fung-wong (UwanPH) has collided into the Philippines shortly after reaching a CATEGORY 4 peak intensity, with her enormous eye moving onshore in the Baler Bay Area of Aurora. Violent waves and significant storm surge flooding are being reported near the landfall location as the powerful, eastern half of Fung-wong’s eyewall is now moments away from roaring into Luzon. This is very close to where Typhoon Man-yi (Pepito) made landfall in November of last year.

After 75 hours straight, Bavi has finally fallen below Super Typhoon status. But the damage has already been done. At 180 MPH and 901 MBAR, she was the strongest Typhoon to make landfall in the Mariana Islands on record and the most intense storm to form in Earth’s Northern Hemisphere during the month of July since Typhoon Nepartak in 2016.
