It’s even better with a unit circle (r = 1) rather than one with unit diameter (r = ½). In that case, you can inscribe a regular convex hexagon and see that the perimeter of a unit circle is a little more than 6—specifically, 6.283185…, a number I call τ.

Shouldn’t the remaining piece after subtracting 3 radiuses from the half perimeter be 0.07 ? 🤔 If, Perimeter= 3 Diameter + 0.14 Hence, Perimeter/2 = 3 Radius + 0.07
