E10 EXPERIMENT SHOWS WHY WATER IN FUEL CAN KILL YOUR ENGINE 🚨 HOST: We added only 40 ml water to E10 petrol. After shaking, look at the bottom layer. It has almost doubled. EXPERT: Water has pulled the ethanol down. That bottom layer is now water plus ethanol, and the top is almost pure petrol. HOST: What happens if this goes into the fuel tank? EXPERT: If that layer reaches the engine, it may misfire or not start at all. HOST: And E20 makes this worse? EXPERT 😳: Yes. With E20, there is double ethanol, so if water enters the tank, the separation problem becomes more severe.

🚨Ontario gas station sells water-contaminated fuel. Before people jump to conclusions… Fuel systems do have safeguards, but contamination can still happen if water gets into the underground tank itself. This isn’t some impossible scenario either. Stations in the U.S. and elsewhere have had pumps shut down after water got into storage tanks and damaged multiple vehicles. That’s a failure that needs investigation… not assumptions about intent. Compensate the drivers. Fix the system. Cut the hate. Proof this has happened before:

In EWC qualifying, the YART Yamaha team do not refuel the bike during a pit stop. Instead, when a rider comes in, the team removes the fuel tank and replaces it with a separate tank prepared for the next rider. Inside each tank are special volume balls, used to fine-tune the available fuel capacity. The team then measures the fuel to within one tenth of a gram and checks the temperature, because warmer fuel is less dense. That means the same volume contains slightly less fuel mass, so the team has to account for temperature when preparing the tank. The aim is to carry enough fuel for the session, but no more than necessary. Less fuel means less weight, and less weight means more performance when every tenth matters. Once everything is set, the tank is fitted back onto the R1 and the next rider heads out. Tiny details. Big difference. 👍 #YamahaRacing #FIMEWC #8hSpaMotos #YART
