Watch on Youtube:

Beautiful. Now add gory and extravagant death animations for units à la classic Fallout.

Excellent work

Oh Jesus for a second I thought I RT'ed an AI "prototype" hahahahah no of course not :D This looks wicked & actually is wicked.

Familiar vibes... 😊

Oh that's insanely cool, especially since I've always wanted another RTS with physics based movement for the longest time in a world where the overwhelming majority of them just default to grid based movement

The pathing is still grid based, but the movement (which is a distinct thing from pathfinding) is physics based

Even so the illusion of such goes a long way to making the units feel more lively, kudos

This is really cool and the music/Hud reminds me of real fallout. Have you considered adding the ability to construct roads to facilitate smoother/quicker movement?

We want to add buildable pavement. Not sure about dirt roads, though

Cool!

Need to recreate super offroad with this engine.

Animation looks like in Red Alert 2 and it looks great!

What engine are you building with?

@ForeverStar2045 It’s a highly modified fork of OpenRA

Right on man well take the compliment, because its def unique, great job. I also went custom, and seeing your progress makes me feel like its the right choice!

Looks very nice especially on barbarians and their speed based vehicles. The empire tanks descending from the hill also looked great, though, this might just be me, I think the half-tracks at the start and the triconsortium hovercraft should be a lil bit heavier.

Wishlisted. You definitely should ask Frank Klepacki to write a soundtrack.

O.O (My heart has been broken since C&C 4, circa 2010 and..., this made a little heartbeat xD)

That's pretty cool... and it looks like terrain also blocks vision. Does this mean the player will be able to disrupt or alter terrain to take advantage of this? Maybe even terraform to an extent? 👀

We plan on implementing terraforming mechanics, including building defensive trenches

Beautiful

Has there been anymore info on the kickstarter?

The plan is to begin the campaign in March

Amazing can’t wait to see what stuff you have for it.

Can’t believe how you have captured the aesthetic of classic RTS whilst keeping it modern. Looks incredible, when is the release date expected?

👀

This is awesome, I just heard about it today! I would love to see an extended dynamic campaign.🔥

The look and feel is really nice! Physics shown in the video are really convincing, great job!

The Meat of Vengeance…that’s a song I haven’t heard in 18 years 🥹

Luckily, this post landed in my feed. I love RTS, and you seem to work on it with your heart open to designing innovative retro games. Love the concept! Do you accept my humble suggestion for game mechanics? My suggestion: Implement an EXP system for units, carry some over to the next PvE mission, and/or add commander development + progression outside missions. Different commanders with unique power sets would be awesome! :)

I've been wondering wth happened to the good ol RTS genre. This looks awesome.

Amazing stuff as always. Keep it up. Still got plans for nautical warfare as well or its scrapped? I imagine it aint priority now.

Let’s kick up some dirt

Damn this looks so good.

This looks so good. This game has come such a long way over the years. Excellent work, very excited.

@howieeday Ok i want to play this so badly

Badass. Reminds me a lot of tiberian sun, aesthetically

that looks sick. just like starcraft and fallout had a baby.

Is this from a game and what is it? Or did you develop this solo and solely for the physics based movement?

Looks so nice!

Cool, what is that?

RTS with terrain physics?? that's amazing, sounds very fun.

Just wondering if they're voxel vehicles like in Tib sun?

so fucking beautiful!
