PleasantKenobi iBackPackGG yeah i can take this. obviously incredibly difficult to communicate what's available and why/how important it will be over the course of a game in <2:20 but gave it a shot

These replies are telling me that Yugioh is a hot mess, where singular cards turn off entire games on turn 1, with no counterplay. Are Yugioh players exaggerating like an MTG Commander player crying about Wrath of God, or is there really a glaring design issue with floodgates?

Yugioh decks have a lot more interesting interactions with each other than other card games, leading to some decks being very strong compared to others. Decks maximize monster output and leave trap cards that can essentially guarantee wins, rng willing that is.

What kind of interesting interactions?

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG So... You use mini combos to interact with eachother favorably while jockying over board control, and while games take place over 2-3(?) turns, because your cards dont use resources (beside themselves) you're still interacting heavily over the course of those few turn cycles?

We can't spill the beans about the release date of Maki: Paw of Fury, but make no mistake, things are happening! 🫘😎 We remind you that the game is coming to #NintendoSwitch and #PC #Steam and you can play the demo on PC, here ⤵️ >>> Have a great day!

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG Notice how pk's not responding to any actual discussions

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG Yooo you actually got the gorz mat hell yeah!!!

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG my prized possession LMAO

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG Yugioh's most powerful yapper, we love to see it!

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG It's so funny the idiots on the previous thread whine about floodgates, boardbreakers, silver bullets as THE game winners, but when shown actual board that doesn't die to boardbreakers, and have multiple point of interactions, they're silent.

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG lol i could see the moment u realized u needed another xyz in grave for twins

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG So it is really just vintage magic a turn 4 game max

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG man i wish the game actually looked like this, but the reason you almost never end on this is because no deck can (reasonably) actually play through the end board. I don't know how people praise handtraps so much when they make the game so much worse

@PleasantKenobi @iBackPackGG Sphere mode/lava golem? Still not fun why to out it though
