PLEASE HELP US TRACE THE PEOPLE INVOLVED 🙏 With the robbery case still ongoing, we would like to share the following details. We truly believe in the power of social media and community support. As previously shared, my wife’s business, Ineffable Salon Ineffable Ineffable Ineffable Enterpreneur , was robbed.... During the incident, her cellphone (iPhone 16) was also taken. We tracked the phone, and the location led us to a building in Hillbrow, Berea. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the phone was switched off and could no longer be located. We then reached out to nearby residents to help identify the vehicle used during the robbery. The community was incredibly helpful and shared video footage. Although the number plate was blurry across all footage, we continued pursuing the matter. With assistance from friends and the use of advanced software, we managed to extract a possible number plate, along with driver details and a location. This information was immediately shared with the detective handling the case. However, it was later discovered that the number plate had been cloned. The people found at that location were not the suspects we were looking for, and although the vehicle is the same model, it does not have the distinctive features of the car used in the robbery. At this point, we are pleading for your assistance. Hi GoBid as a proudly South African company we at View4You disagree with the fact that people cannot run diagnostics, check the car to see if it starts check for any warning lights, check fluids on your cars. We understand moving them is not doable like all other auctions. Our founder recently reached out to your ambassador mumbo repairs and asked Him why your cars are not auctioned with a report stating the truth about the car as we have come across cases of possible mileage fraud and a case of a cloned car at GoBid. The response we received was that it would be difficult as the quantities are large and it would be costly. He also stated these cars are from various banks insurers etc. He further stated that GoBid will allow us to do our own inspections before we bid. His answers are acceptable and understandable. However, they do depict or show a lack of or no interest in protecting the consumer. Now today we were stopped from running a diagnostic, we were not allowed to get the car started and we were also not allowed to check the fluids. How can people bid confidently with these limitations? Now our humble request is, please permit us to run our checks thoroughly to ensure we know what we are bidding on. We picked up this baby from Lagos and it arrived Inside Òṣogbo like this, the car didn’t leave Lagos this way, shortly after getting to Ibadan, the engine was overheating seriously and it was getting late, the car’s safety and driver’s wellbeing was our utmost priority so the best option was to tow the car, we communicated with the owner of the car and he gave us a go ahead, we couldn’t get a towing vehicle from here because it was late so we had to look for one around toll gate in Ib and around Iwo Road, we were able to get one eventually and they left around 12:30am, Our own Towing vehicle from Inside Òṣogbo would have actually “towed” the car but these people from Ibadan “pulled” the car with a rope, the driver didn’t inform me of this, I would have objected, shortly before they got to Osogbo, the person controlling our own car behind the towing vehicle lost control and hit the iron behind the towing vehicle so the headlamps, fender, front grille, bumper and bonnet got damaged… “Gbeseee re ooo”🙆🙆🙆. We later found out there was a slight malfunction with the brake system. They arrived the workshop Doromecho Automobile Solutions Ltd. around 4am, I was livid, very mad at the towing vehicle people, they started begging.. This one no be begging matter oo.. At dawn, I called the owner of the vehicle to inform him of what had happened, we love to take responsibilities for anything about our clients’s cars in as much as it is already in our custody. An elderly lady bought this car “Brand New” from a dealer, it’s been giving her issues from day 1, she noticed the rust and the drivability was not okay. Car was purchased in September last year. As we speak this car has been at this dealer since February. Being that she has owned a few cars, she could tell something was off. Well we were then called in and in this case 1+1 is not equaling to 2. MIOSA and The Finance house has dismissed her claim and suspicions. UPDATE: Rebel News exposes LCBO heist Rebel News caught a liquor heist on camera. But neither the LCBO nor the police seem to care. You might recall our story from earlier this month following my visit to the Liquor Control Board of Ontario store at 1750 The Queensway in west-end Toronto. I was off-duty and minding my own business and not looking for trouble – but trouble found me. Thieves entered the store, brazenly filled their sacks with several bottles of booze, and then made their getaway. I filmed the crime on my cellphone and gave chase until one of the thieves brandished a vial of dog spray. Nevertheless, I was able to get the licence plate number: CB 39133, which was affixed to a white Chevrolet van. I then shared that information with the store clerks. In the aftermath, given the video evidence and the plate number, we wanted to know how the police investigation is going. But get this: we don’t even know if the LCBO reached out to police in the first place! Nobody at the store would provide us with any information when we revisited the store earlier this week. And when we paid a visit to the nearby Toronto Police Service 22 Division to file our own report, we were told to phone it in! Just one hitch: we had already spent an hour on the phone a few days earlier trying to do that and we were unable to connect with a human being. And it seems we’re not the only one to hit such a roadblock. Another citizen was at 22 Division also hoping to report a theft over $10,000. He too was given a non-emergency number to call. He stated that he had also previously called that number several times, spending more than four hours without successfully connecting to a police officer. His concerns were met with a shrug. It gets worse: we did some detective work for ourselves and discovered the van is registered to a home in Brampton. We informed Peel Regional Police about this, but were told that since the crime occurred in Toronto, it was out of their jurisdiction. And when we wanted to share this information with 22 Division – you guessed it – we were told to phone it in! Unbelievable… Now we are left pondering: does anyone care about the out-of-control theft occurring at the so-called Liquor “Control” Board of Ontario? Well, if you are an Ontarian, you should care given that you have skin in the game in that the LCBO is a Crown corporation. And it is unacceptable that an estimated $77 million worth of booze is being pilfered each year. Perhaps crime is so serious and so frequent in the GTA these days that unless a homicide is involved it would appear that the cops have better things to do. R.I.P., Toronto the Good. Postscript: one friendly police officer took pity on us and decided to try to get 22 Division to act on our information. The best he could do was provide us with a website portal called the Citizen Internet Crime Report. We shall try our luck with that; hopefully the website works better than the phone system. UPDATE: Rebel News exposes LCBO heist Rebel News caught a liquor heist on camera. But neither the LCBO nor the police seem to care. You might recall our story from earlier this month following my visit to the Liquor Control Board of Ontario store at 1750 The Queensway in west-end Toronto. I was off-duty and minding my own business and not looking for trouble – but trouble found me. Thieves entered the store, brazenly filled their sacks with several bottles of booze, and then made their getaway. I filmed the crime on my cellphone and gave chase until one of the thieves brandished a vial of dog spray. Nevertheless, I was able to get the licence plate number: CB 39133, which was affixed to a white Chevrolet van. I then shared that information with the store clerks. In the aftermath, given the video evidence and the plate number, we wanted to know how the police investigation is going. But get this: we don’t even know if the LCBO reached out to police in the first place! Nobody at the store would provide us with any information when we revisited the store earlier this week. And when we paid a visit to the nearby Toronto Police Service 22 Division to file our own report, we were told to phone it in! Just one hitch: we had already spent an hour on the phone a few days earlier trying to do that and we were unable to connect with a human being. And it seems we’re not the only one to hit such a roadblock. Another citizen was at 22 Division also hoping to report a theft over $10,000. He too was given a non-emergency number to call. He stated that he had also previously called that number several times, spending more than four hours without successfully connecting to a police officer. His concerns were met with a shrug. It gets worse: we did some detective work for ourselves and discovered the van is registered to a home in Brampton. We informed Peel Regional Police about this, but were told that since the crime occurred in Toronto, it was out of their jurisdiction. And when we wanted to share this information with 22 Division – you guessed it – we were told to phone it in! Unbelievable… Now we are left pondering: does anyone care about the out-of-control theft occurring at the so-called Liquor “Control” Board of Ontario? Well, if you are an Ontarian, you should care given that you have skin in the game in that the LCBO is a Crown corporation. And it is unacceptable that an estimated $77 million worth of booze is being pilfered each year. Perhaps crime is so serious and so frequent in the GTA these days that unless a homicide is involved it would appear that the cops have better things to do. R.I.P., Toronto the Good. Postscript: one friendly police officer took pity on us and decided to try to get 22 Division to act on our information. The best he could do was provide us with a website portal called the Citizen Internet Crime Report. We shall try our luck with that; hopefully the website works better than the phone system.
