I have some great news for people of Bengaluru and Mumbai. From last 30 years, our two great cities were connected by only one super fast train -Udyan Express. Even that train took more than 24 hrs to reach. This forced most people to inevitably take bus or flights. Travel was expensive and uncomfortable. There was consistent demand from people of both the cities to start more train services. I had raised this issue multiple times in Parliament, PAC meetings, with Railway Board Chairman and with the Railway Minister, over the last four years. It is just baffling that such important economic nodes as Bengaluru and Mumbai didn’t have more than one direct super fast train from so long. Finally, like he is delivering on many important promises for the nation, our most dynamic and erudite Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav Ji has made more super fast trains possible by increasing lane capacity in both Bengaluru and Mumbai Railway stations. I also thank our own Sri V. Somanna Ji for all his support. In the coming days, rail travel between the two cities will increase and will benefit lakhs of people. 🚂 Video clip showing the moment that Special No. 983 train hit a rail inspection vehicle on the Suphanburi Line at 8:35am this morning. Luckily the three railmen jumped clear just in time sustaining only slight injuries. #Thailand No. 983 is a chartered train heading to Suphanburi Station. There’s only one passenger train that does a return trip once a week on this line and so the train was being cautious. Locals would not know the train was coming but railmen should be fully aware. They said they heard the whistle but thought it was a train on the main line.

Bharat 1st Hydrogen-Powered Passenger Train 🚆 PM Modi flagged off India’s first hydrogen-powered passenger train on the 89 km Jind–Sonipat route in Haryana. Developed by Integral Coach Factory Chennai, the train uses Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cells to generate electricity from hydrogen and oxygen, emitting only water vapour and heat. The 10 coach train has 2 Hydrogen Driving Power Cars and 8 trailer coaches, carrying around 2,600 passengers. Each power car produces 1,200 kW, giving a combined output of 2,400 kW (3,200 hp). The train is designed for 110 km/h but will initially operate at 75 km/h. India has also commissioned the country’s largest railway hydrogen refuelling facility at Jind, with 3,000 kg hydrogen storage and on-site green hydrogen production. The train features advanced safety systems, including hydrogen leak detection, automatic shut-off mechanisms, continuous ventilation, and certification to NFPA-2, ISO 19880, and TUV SUD standards. Indian Railways plans to expand hydrogen train operations, including on heritage routes such as Kalka-Shimla, supporting the National Green Hydrogen Mission and India’s Net Zero goals.

The cars are equipped with special beds for the injured, and each one has a doctor, nurses, and anesthesiologists. If necessary, the medics can perform surgery right on the move. Because he knows the tech train is leaving the station at 300 km/h & India can’t afford another decade of EGO POLITICS & policy flip-flops. Coalitions aren’t love marriages. They’re survival pacts.
