#WATCH | Navi Mumbai | On the inauguration of three key sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis says, "Today, PM Modi inaugurated the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. This Corridor will bring a revolution in logistics in India. The movement of cargo from UP to JNPT will happen by rail. For the first time, we have prepared double-decker racks. One train can carry goods that would have been carried by 250 trucks. With this dedicated freight corridor, we can bring the cost of cargo to 7%, resulting in competing with China and take better part in the global supply chain. This is important for Maharashtra because its end destination is JNPT port, which will help in the generation of employment in the state."

The railway line that Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi Ji inaugurated is now serving the apple farmers of Kashmir. Starting with few parcel coaches, we are now running one train daily since 15th sept. Looking at the requests from Kashmir valley, we will scale up to two rakes daily. This will carry about 1000 tons apples per day. That is equivalent to 100 truck loads of apples per day. With these cargo services from Anantnag and Badgam, apple farmers of Jammu and Kashmir will have better access to markets.

Hundreds of Armenian trucks carrying products for Russia have been returned to Armenia from the Russian-Georgian border. According to the truck drivers, border guards explain the ban on entry into Russia due to "phytosanitary issues."
