Damage predicion on low ping is by far the biggest gameplay advantage you can get, assuming it is accurate of course. Shooting feedback and kill registration feel so nice but the fact that this is toggleable option goes to show that CS2's kill delay is still a thing and they know it. It is a day and night difference and when this gets properly implemented in the game, CS2 will feel CS2. CS2 !

Reddit was flooded with clips of a bug in CS2 that seems to occur randomly where the collision breaks in certain areas of the map, causing players to fall into the void. I've downloaded dozens of demos to investigate, but I see nothing special in them. I don't get it.

Observing the milliseconds of kill delay above a certain ping value. Higher ping values in CS2 matter way way more than CSGO. Anything above 40 can be observed quite easily without prediction, just by feeling the feedback from the kills on the server. It is harder to tell from the 60frame video. It is quite noticable in higher framerates and actually feeling the game respond to your input.

CS2-10k: 600K+ player-round videos, 10K+ hours, per-frame annotations — keyboard state, mouse delta, 3D position, camera yaw/pitch. All paired to the visual stream. Why CS2 demos? Matches are deterministic replays. We can reconstruct first-person video and extract the exact control inputs that caused every visual change. No labeling, no estimation. We're also releasing cs2-dem-renderer — the open-source pipeline we used to build it. Give it a .dem file, it outputs .mp4 + .parquet. Run your own dataset at whatever scale you need.

This bug is extremely game-breaking. Enemies can push from connector or mid, and I completely lose sound — I can’t hear important information, and I waste valuable time trying to fix it mid-round. On top of that, more and more people are coming into my stream saying the game doesn’t feel the same. At first I thought it was just me, but I’m starting to feel it too — something is definitely off. CS2 please consider reverting whatever changes were made to the gameplay in this latest update.
