My generator starts everytime after about 20 pulls, a few kicks, alot of name calling, then remembering to turn the fuel on.

I’ve got a 12 pack of toilet paper, a 24 pack of bottled water, a box of pop tarts, and 55 gallons of baby oil. Good?

All weapons zeroed and maintained, 10,000+ rounds of M855 5.56, 60 days worth of food rations, 200K gallons worth of water purification filters, HAM radios freq'd and charged, enough firewood and propane for 60 days, and preplanned in place and bug out SOPs. ✔️

I think older Onan diesel generators hold their value incredibly well, but that is the route I plan on going alongside a "smart" transfer switch. I would like to setup a battery bank with solar also, but that's one of those end game things once I find a place I can settle into.

I run my generator dry after use. I even have a spare carb for it because of ethanol

Dual fuel can be helpful. Propane has a very long shelf life and while it does not have the same power as gas does, it can help in a pinch, as well as, keep the carburetor cleaner.

Non-ethanol gas and Sea Foam works great! Last time I used generator was 1 week shy of a full year. Fired up and ran fine using that mix.

This weekend is the weekend to change batteries in all of the flashlights, red dots, etc. I always target Labor Day weekend so everything will be fresh and ready for hurricane season.

Good idea. I need to actually check my generator out from top to bottom. Aunt gave it to me. Also need to do maintenance on all the lawn equipment this year.

For whatever reason, when the power grid goes down, I often use it as an opportunity to check batteries in my glass and lights. It takes a while, but a satisfying activity.

With uncertain times , and a infrastructure deliberately not being maintained. The best investment other than a Pew pew is a 5000 wh hr power station
