This weekend, we finally hit it. Inked character complete! This has been a crazy journey, so I figured I'd put together a little thread with my process, and thoughts on how we got here! Feel free to give it a read, or just check out the finished collection! A 🧵(1/?)

First things first, I wanted to share the full image of the video above. The video is great, but seeing the whole image and being able to scroll and check out the cards is just such an awesome experience. I absolutely love it. You can find it here! (2/?)

So how did we get here? While the feat obviously requires a substantial investment to achieve, it was important to be as optimal as possible. Not buying boosters when possible, not just buying gold to split. Here is how I optimized my process to reach the end goal. (3/?)

I originally was splitting deep, chasing krackles, but as my goal became more clear I shifted my approach. This meant no chasing or deep splitting. Hitting an ink and move on. I started doing this around CL 50,000. This was around when I hit rare & avatar complete. (4/?)

This is important, because once rare & avatar complete, PMVs will give you 310 boosters. instead of a rare or avatar. I had saved ~90 Spotlights by this point. So I decided to open down to 30. I've kept this mentality through the process. Hit 34, open 4 etc. (5/?)

This was a huge injection of boosters for my collection. I further optimized my booster gains through only playing Conquest after hitting infinite. On average, I'd get 60-75k medals per season, this led to a TON of boosters, and a great way to prioritize splits. (6/?)

From a spending perspective I tried to never just buy gold. I leaned into the "For You" bundles that carried the best value (high gold/high credits) + PMVs could give more boosters if they didn't hit a Super Rare. I also would hold out for Vibranium tracks. (7/?)

Finally, with the release of the "free" booster system in store, I setup my collection to always have three cards in rotation I wasn't spending boosters on. This honestly was one of the best additions to the game for collectors, and helped fill huge gaps at the bottom. (8/?)

This booster system is also going to make it MUCH easier, and more efficient for me to stay inked complete. If you aren't utilizing this and enjoy splits, absolutely look into it. @LaurenWhatevs has an incredible guide on how to setup your collection for success! (9/?)

Finally, I just want to make a comment on spending in games like this. While my investment was high, it was never beyond my fiscal means. The highs of hitting krackles, or building a cool collection should always be framed in a fiscally responsible mindset. (10/?)

It's easy to chase, and buy just one more (I'm not innocent of avoiding this). When you feel that coming on, step away. Be smart, never do anything to put yourself in a financially difficult position over a game. This is SO important, and I just wanted to mention it. (11/?)

I'm not sure what's next, I'll definitely be whaling a lot less for a while. I'll continue enjoying the game, sharing decks, and making Snap Backs! I have a lot of incredible cards to share. I appreciate everyone who has been on the journey, incredibly grateful for you all! (12)
