To add to this: I work with a lot of Right wingers. People whose weddings I’ve done. Folks I’ve worked with for 15 years. They know my politics and they’d give me the shirt off their backs if I needed it. Some of em can’t stand the guy, some of em are full blown dick suckers. It’s weird but most of their brain rot comes not from Trump directly but from the simplicity in which media attempts to boil down complex issues. And the capitalist lines most major media outlets take at face value from lobbying groups or law enforcement agencies without any criticism or critical thought. Trump just says the most basic, populist lines that almost anyone of any socioeconomic background can get behind in theory in some way, but the solutions and the cause are radically different. And their brains have been primed their entire lives for it because these systems and causes and effects are so fucking big and out of our control. And of course some of em just have good ol’ racism passed down to them which overrides everything.

I think that definitely still holds true for some people but we’ve crossed a rubicon in modernity in regards to this stuff because it’s so easily accessible. You don’t need to seek out hard to find materials or communities. It’s everywhere on every platform. Well adjusted people that’d never have previously done what it takes to dig through the top layers to get to these communities have it served to them because the engagement is so high. I’d bet good money this woman has average size social circles, a decent job, marriage, kids, etc.

What is she even implying? It's just word salad. "My kid shit his pants this morning. What does that mean? Follow the money. It broke my heart too. BIG DIAPERS. BIG PHARMA. BIG HAIR. BIG DOLLY."

I can't even figure out what she's talking about.
