Yeah. The artist shared this video with me, and accusing someone of using AI without any proof is not cool. We are all against generative AI, but it becomes a serious issue when people can’t tell the difference between human mistakes and AI, because that only fuels the narrative that AI can replace artists. If you’re wondering about the extra hand: James’s dad wasn’t included in the first version by mistake, and when we asked the artist to add him, they had to reposition some hands and forgot to remove the extra one. As for the line thickness, for greetings we don’t work with vectors, and as for the background it includes textured pixel images adapted in perspective to the space.

This was a small animated sequence for a feature-length film and the main challenge was achieving very realistic, hand-drawn textures in every single frame. I think it turned out pretty great, literally every frame here is unique and made purely by human hands. No shortcuts, just love, patience and a lot of pixels🤙🏻✨
