Did you know, you can recover your lost loot even though it's not showing up in the Lost Loot Machine? ❖ Whenever you are not able to recover a Legendary or such loot (falls outside accessible areas, etc), all you must do is "Quit to Main Menu -> Continue." Doing so, the loot will appear in your Lost Loot machine. (Temp. fix credit: Ki11er Six)

One possible fix for the bottlekneck issue is to offer an alternative freight route, one you can jump off earlier to prevent exit camping. It's also great for loading up with loot and boxes, plus fits with lore for supplying the facility! Star Citizen
