🇪🇸🇲🇦 Spain says the Ceuta crisis was resolved. So what are we looking at? 62 days later, new footage from the Spanish enclave shows large groups of migrants from the Maghreb on its beaches and streets. The scenes clash with Spanish officials’ claims that the situation was resolved and the response was a “great success.” If the crisis is over, why does Ceuta still look like this? Writer: Val

🇪🇸 A month after the migrant invasion of Ceuta, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez returned from a 27-day luxury vacation and declared the crisis a “situation of interest for national security.” Sánchez spent most of his holiday at a royal residence on the Canary Islands, making only one brief 105-minute visit to Ceuta. He has now established a Single Command under the Minister of Territorial Policy to coordinate the response. On the ground in Ceuta, a severe humanitarian, healthcare, and security crisis continues. Local authorities say 9,000–11,000 migrants remain in the city, far above the official figure of 2,500. Criminal investigations are underway into multiple alleged rapes among the migrant population, including the assault of a 10-year-old girl and injuries to other young girls. Over 5,000 residents held a massive demonstration organized by a coalition of the city's four main religious communities. Waving Spanish flags and chanting "Ceuta is Spain", they demanded the immediate removal of migrants from the streets, stating the city had become completely unsafe. At the same time, hundreds of migrants gathered with banners reading "Asylum, we don't want to go back to Morocco." They protested against the declaration that they would not be allowed legal status or transport to mainland Spain. Lawlessness reigns within the migrant camps. Fights often break out among them.

🐻 Bears have entered Russia’s election campaign In Sliznevo, Krasnoyarsk region, local residents say they will not go to the polls until the authorities deal with the bear problem. Over the past two weeks, the animals have been entering residential areas almost every day, and yesterday an adult bear was spotted right on one of the village streets. After that, calls to boycott the vote appeared in local chats: “We’re not going to vote — safety comes first.” Local officials, however, insist that voting is proceeding normally and claim residents have supposedly already gotten used to the bears.

🇪🇸 Ceuta residents have started hunting newly arrived migrants through the streets with clubs. Videos show locals chasing groups of North African migrants in neighborhoods after the border surge overwhelmed the city. Community pushback has turned physical. This is what happens when people feel the state has abandoned them. Can law enforcement still regain control, or has the situation already slipped into open confrontation?

Thousands of Migrants Storm EU Border into Spanish Ceuta On July 30, 2026, thousands of migrants, mostly young men, climbed barbed-wire fences and forced their way into Spain’s North African enclave of Ceuta after Moroccan security forces withdrew. (Video: AI) Witnesses described a long column of people jumping the unguarded barriers while shouting “Long live Spain.” Regional authorities say the mass entry comes on top of more than 1,500 migrants who swam into the city over the past week. Ceuta and Melilla are the European Union’s only land borders with Africa and regularly face these surges. This is the reality of uncontrolled mass migration when borders are left undefended. This is what many extremists now in the Democrat Party want in the U.S. Open borders. This is the end goal of the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America). Europe is living the consequences right now. America should take note.

🇪🇸🇲🇦 This is what Ceuta looked like overnight Dealing with the consequences will take a very long time. Reuters reports that migrants who arrived en masse in the Spanish exclave have begun returning home to Morocco. They say hunger, exhaustion and hostility from local residents have shattered their hopes of starting a new life in Europe. Around 60,000 people illegally crossed into Ceuta on July 30–31 — despite the city having a population of only about 85,000.
