Programmable intelligence needs programmable institutions. Sreeram Kannan on the AI x crypto intersection: "AI is just programmable intelligence. If you have programmable intelligence, you can't work with soft, squishy, legal, slow regulated institutions." "We believe that this intersection — that programmable intelligence needs programmable institutions, smart contracts, and the...

@sreeramkannan What stands out is the gap between fast AI execution and slow institutional frameworks. That mismatch is becoming harder to ignore.

@sreeramkannan can't have programmable institutions running on unprogrammable billing logic we're fixing that quietly

@sreeramkannan It makes total sense. AI moves way too fast and out legal systems are up-to-date

Programmable intelligence needs programmable institutions. That’s exactly the direction TrustLogic is pushing toward. Right now, most institutions are still enforced socially or legally after something goes wrong: - contracts - compliance teams - audits - lawsuits - payment reversals - platform moderation TrustLogic moves enforcement into the asset itself. Instead of: “Please follow the rules.” The asset becomes: “You cannot use me outside the rules.” That applies to: - AI-agent spending - purpose-bound stablecoins - software licensing - creator royalties - treasury controls - institutional RWAs - ecosystem grants - regulated transfers The important shift is that the rules persist after transfer. Not platform rules. Not API rules. Not “terms of service.” Asset-level enforcement. In a way, programmable institutions are really programmable trust relationships: - authority separated from economic benefit - persistent obligations - bounded behavior - revocable permissions - enforceable intent That’s why trust law maps surprisingly well to AI + crypto infrastructure. AI agents can move at machine speed, but institutions still need: - permissions - accountability - restrictions - fiduciary logic - compliance boundaries - revocation mechanisms TrustLogic is basically: “what if the institution traveled with the asset?” 📫 ➡️ ⚖️

@sreeramkannan Though I will say this proposition appeals to me but not in entirety. If AI has its own PI institution, it's beneficial in the long run. However I think full autonomy should not be given to artificial intelligence. There are some steps humans will need to run to maintain balance.

@sreeramkannan We’re moving from human-mediated trust to verifiable compute. If an AI agent can execute a trade, it needs an on-chain counterpart that can guarantee settlement. The 'soft' institutions are the bottleneck.

AI is the brain. Blockchain is the body. But the brain–body avatar without a witness is a puppet. The trilogy's third layer: Human is the Sākṣī — the witness that orchestrates brain and body together. Programmable intelligence + programmable institutions alone = the asura mode. All three = dharma.

@sreeramkannan AI + crypto only works at scale if institutions are also readable and enforceable. Secret Network adds privacy preserving execution so “programmable institutions” don’t require exposing all underlying data.

Introducing Lithic ( the intelligent execution language powering the Lithosphere Network. For years blockchain has focused on programmable value. With Lithic, we move toward programmable intelligence. Lithic is designed to connect smart contracts, identity, AI systems, and cross-chain infrastructure into a unified execution fabric for the next phase of the internet. This is a core step toward the Web4 infrastructure stack we’ve been building at Lithosphere. Core Lithic Components • Lithic Execution Engine – deterministic runtime powering intelligent smart contract execution • LEP100 Intelligent Asset Framework – programmable token standard for adaptive digital assets • Lithic Modules (LSCL) – composable modules for governance, identity, compliance, and AI logic • Cross-Chain Orchestration Layer – communication between EVM, Cosmos environments, and external networks • Identity & Policy Hooks – programmable identity-aware transaction and asset control • AI Integration Layer – enabling intelligent validation, automation, and decision systems Together these components form the foundation for adaptive decentralized systems. Why Lithic matters Static contracts belong to Web3. Lithic enables: • intelligent assets • identity-aware protocols • AI-driven automation • modular decentralized infrastructure This is how blockchain evolves into the intelligent layer of the internet. 📚Lithic Documentation & Resources Learn more Docs: Tools, Scripts, examples etc: Lithic Contract Wizard and Verifier. LEP100 Standard-suite Lithosphere Developer Resources More developer tools, SDKs, and modules will be released alongside the Makalu Testnet.
