Ridley Scott did not win an Oscar for Gladiator. To all those who are angry at a black casting of the Odyssey, 1) the Greeks themselves said ALL their gods came from Black Africa. 2) the odyssey itself is full of references to the gods being black. With the main deity Zeus, LITERALLY being called the “ETHIOP”. Meaning the black. So in fact, Europeans are the ones that have stealing the roles of Black Greek gods, for decades. This doesn’t mean that all Greeks were black and that all periods of Greeks were black, but it does mean that at the time of the odyssey, the gods were black.
