I’d love for you to replace the word children with everyone. If people did things like this a few times a week they would be so much more inclined to want to train and be generally more fit. This looks like so much fun!

Jeremy this was a bit like the feeling of being put on the original Egoscue Patch course 25+ years ago Jumping on off logs, under, over differing heights, crawling along, on & off different height stumps. All adults some pro athletes & it was fun & TOUGH New adult class for you😉

Over the last 20 years, there has been a push in youth sports to spend any and all available practice time on developing specific sport skills at the expense of developing all-around athleticism. You would think that, with all this specialized practice in one sport, we would be seeing a generation of superstars. In fact, it’s just the opposite: Injury and burnout rates are at an all-time high. I have seen young athletes as young as 8-9 years old competing at a regional and national level for their perspective sports, and yet they cant do basic things like : 1. Balance on one leg 2. Worrying about their 40 times or pro agility tests is largely a waste of time for preadolescents. Speed training programs are for older, adolescent athletes who are both physically and mentally mature and have developed a wide range of movement skills through proper foundational training and development. Most youth athletes are not physically prepared to take part in a speed training program because they have yet to develop the necessary physical foundation to express speed. If your young athlete lacks the ability to balance on one foot for 15 seconds or doesn't have the relative strength to hang from a bar for 30 seconds, it may be a clue that they need a more remedial training program rather than an advanced one. A good program for a preadolescent is one that develops a wide range of movement skills rather than specializing on developing one bio motor ability like speed. #LTAD #youthathleticdevelopment #PhysEd #coordination #athleticism #play #games #kidsfitness

First day of school: No recess... No gym class... 7 hours of no movement... That feels like a lifetime for a kid... Most adults would go out of their minds... Yet I read tweets about my program: "These kids shouldn't be training." "These kids should be outside playing." "You're just a psycho dad trying to get your kid a scholarship." "You're ripping these parents off, I used to do this stuff in my backyard when I was a kid." No... I do it because they're not getting it anywhere else. Not at school, not at home and not in youth sports. THEY ARE NOT GETTING THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN HOW TO MOVE!!! And good movement is a prerequisite for not only success in sports but also living a long, healthy life. #getmoving #LTAD

Just an FYI: Kids have little desire to do: planks split squats weighted carries They literally have the rest of their lives to exercise. The pre-adolescent years should be dedicated to developing agility, balance, coordination, and body awareness in a dynamic and engaging environment. It's important that children have positive movement experiences early in life so that have a desire to continue to move as they get older. #LTAD

What happens when we are told to ignore what we see? Trans influencers like Jeffrey Marsh want us to stop being grounded in our own adaptive instincts for sex recognition. Major NGOs like Amnesty International want us to be influenced by the sloganeering of "I Am Who I Say I Am." But these things are directly antithetical to the most basic safety lessons we have which are about listening to our own instincts, intuitions, and direct sense perceptions. As I continue to say, "Any movement that tells women and children to trust what the strange man tells you about his identity before trusting your own instincts is a PREDATORY MOVEMENT."

Their heinous movement should be politically destroyed, systematically dismantled. Their financial backing should be bankrupted, their media sponsors defeated in the marketplace, their candidates beaten at the ballot box. And their acolytes in academia, behind the pulpit, in city councils and corporate America will be spotlighted and given one chance to confess and apologize. Years ago in galaxy far far away, children, many of them aspiring young athletes would spend their summer days and after school pre-dusk hours playing outside in backyards, woods and playgrounds all across America. These marathon sessions of movement allowed children to develop many basic physical skills. Games like tag and kick the can involved sprinting and numerous changes of speed and direction. Climbing trees or wrestling with friends developed total body strength and body awareness. Riding bikes or running on trails through the woods provided very sufficient cardiovascular benefits. As the children experienced more of these activities this foundation of physical skills grew and expanded. When the time was right as these children grew older they would use this physical foundation as a platform to learn and master more complex movements like the skills found in sports like baseball, football, soccer and basketball etc. Children played many sports throughout the school year and summer time was for vacation and camps. The words A.C.L. reconstruction or Tommy John surgery were literally non existent because young athletes were hardly ever exposed to one activity long enough to cause overuse problems... Obviously things have changed. We can't go back to the 1980s but we can find inspiration from those experiences to pass on to the next generation. That's inspiration for this program! #LTAD
